GOD’S WISDOM
IN
HUMAN SUFFERING

Dear Friend:
Thirty-seven years have passed since the failed attempt on my life, in Tripoli, Lebanon. These years were primarily characterized with suffering to the degree that I was referring to myself as a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
However, they were also years of great joy and blessings from the Father of every good gift. God’s miraculous provision became the norm for our daily lives. The sufferings served to purify our characters and to mold us onto the likeness of our Savior. The blessings filled our hearts with praise and thanksgiving. The Name of the Lord Jesus was lifted above every name!

THE ORIGIN OF
HUMAN SUFFERING
The Garden of Eden in Ancient Mesopotamia, modern-day Iraq, was the perfect environment created by the Lord God for Adam and Eve to live in. Created in a state of untested holiness, the First Parents were given a test of obedience intended to move them into holiness of character. But having failed their test of obedience, Adam and Eve were placed under the curse of suffering and death. This curse covered their posterity and the entire creation was subjected to decay and deterioration.
Indeed, the perfect creation was made for man in his untested holiness. But fallen man became incapable of living in a perfect environment. Therefore, it was necessary to place the entire creation under the Divine Curse.
Likewise, the posterity of the First Parents, at the time of the Fall, were present in Adam in germ form, and participated in Adam’s disobedience. Therefore, the Divine Curse included them/us. “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:22). “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23).

CHRISTIANS
DO SUFFER
Having been born again does not exempt one from suffering. Paul speaks of his own multifaceted suffering: “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). This includes mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering, which often come together.

GOD’S PURPOSES IN
HUMAN SUFFERING
Often God uses suffering as a wakeup call to repentance from sin and turning to God: “For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10).u
Likewise, God uses suffering to mold the character of the believer in Christ, onto the likeness of Christ: “And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5; cf. 1 Peter 1:7)
In addition, God uses suffering to prepare the believer for a ministry to others: “who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4).
Furthermore, God uses suffering to prepare us for the eternal glory to come: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18).

SUFFERING FOR
RIGHTEOUSNESS
In a world of distorted values, where what God says is often perceived as incorrect or undesirable, those who stand for righteousness often are unwelcomed and even persecuted. But God’s blessings are in store for those who stand up for righteousness: “But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled,” (1 Peter 3:14). We are armed and sustained in our stand for righteousness, by our lifestyle of obedience to God and abstinence from sin: “Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.” (1 Peter 4:1-2). And “after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 5:10-11). “Therefore, we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,” (2 Corinthians 4:16-17)

Suffering for righteousness, not for wrongdoing, is the privilege of every follower of Jesus Christ; persecution is inevitable: “Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12). Friend, we are “persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;” (2 Corinthians 4:9). In the midst of suffering, God gives my heart a song of praise and thanksgiving. Study, obey and spread His Word and pray some more.

SINCERITY:
A BIBLICAL MANDATE

In a world with devils filled, the Lord Jesus wants to triumph in and through us!
The Lord God created the marvelous reality we live in, but Satan and his demons are the masters of counterfeits that have a close resemblance to reality; but they are not the reality our Creator authored and intended for us to enjoy.
To be sincere is to possess and exhibit the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines sincerity “: the quality or state of being sincere : honesty of mind : freedom from hypocrisy.” The online Best Dictionary gives a similar definition: sincerity is “The quality or state of being sincere; honesty of mind or intention; freedom from simulation, hypocrisy, disguise, or false pretense.”
The Lord Jesus is our example of sincerity, being genuine and authentic in all He said and did: “who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth.” (1 Peter 2:22). His lifestyle on earth was never contrived; but free from false pretense. It exhibited honesty of mind and intentions, freedom from hypocrisy and simulation, and genuineness and authenticity in all He said and did.
Likewise, the servant of Jesus Christ is admonished to be sincere in all he does and in all he preaches: “in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity [incorruptness, soundness] in doctrine, dignified.” (Titus 2:7). Joshua 24:14 ― serve the Lord in sincerity and truth (see John 4:23-24; contrast Philippians 1:16).
Similarly, 2 Corinthians 2:17 ― speaking the Word of God in sincerity guards against adulterating the Word of God. Here is Paul’s example: “For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.” (2 Corinthians 1:12; cf. 1Thess 2:3-5). Godly sincerity is the wisdom that comes from Above, contrasted to earthly or fleshly wisdom (see James 3:14-16). Thus, Isaiah 33:15 ― a righteous person walks righteously and speaks sincerely. In 1 Corinthians 5:8 ― “the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” is contrasted with “the old leaven” of worldly and materialistic lifestyle and “the leaven of malice and wickedness”. Indeed, you cannot possess Biblical holiness, without which we cannot see God (Hebrews 12:14), without exercising godly sincerity at all times (2 Corinthians 1:12). Even our love to God and man must be in complete sincerity, a genuine selfless and self-giving love (2 Corinthians 8:8).
Furthermore, Acts 2:46 ― the lifestyles of the early believers were characterized “with gladness and sincerity of heart”. We must love the Lord Jesus with an undecaying love (Ephesians 6:24). Therefore, sincerity in our faith must be a goal of our teachings: “the goal of our instruction is [1] love from a pure heart and [2] a good conscience and [3] a sincere faith.” (1 Timothy 1:5). Let love be without hypocrisy (Romans 12:9; cf. 1 Peter 1:22 and 1 John 3:18). And the born-again Christian is admonished to “like newborn babies, long for the pure [unadulterated] milk [Greek, logikos, spiritual milk] of the word [of God], so that by it you may grow in respect to [or up to] salvation.” (1 Peter 2:2).
In contrast, the wicked are void of sincerity and exhibit a wicked lifestyle of hypocrisy: “There is nothing reliable [or true] in what they say; their inward part is destruction itself. Their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue [or make their tongue smooth].” (Psalms 5:9). Indeed, “his speech was smoother than butter, but his heart was war; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.” (Psalms 55:21). Therefore, the godly is exhorted: “Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.” (Psalms 34:13). And, as newborn babes, “therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.” (1 Peter 2:1). Peter says insincerity will kill your appetite for the Word of God! Attributed to C. H. Spurgeon: Sin will drive you away from the Bible, or the Bible will drive you away from sin.
Therefore, pray for all believers that we all may abound in real knowledge and discernment, in approving the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless: “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ.” (Philippians 1:9-10).
Therefore, blessed are you who are sincere: “How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit!” (Psalms 32:1-2).
Bible examples of a sincere heart are attributed to the Men of Zebulun (1Chronicles 12:33), to King Hezekiah (Isaiah 38:3), to Nathanael (John 1:47), to Paul (2 Corinthians 1:12), to Timothy (2 Timothy 1:5), to Lois and Eunice (2 Timothy 1:5), and to The Redeemed (Revelation 14:5).
Sincerity in the original Bible languages has four Greek terms and two Hebrew terms as follows:
1. ἀφελότης (aphelotês) ― simplicity
2. ἁπλότης (haplotês) ― liberality, simplicity, sincerity
3. εἰλικρινεία (eilikrineia) ― clearness, by implication, purity, sincerity
4. γνήσιος (gnêsios) ― lawfully begotten, genuine --sincerity, true
5. ‏מֵישָׁר‎ (meshar) ― evenness, uprightness, equity
6. ‏תָּמִים‎ (tamim) ― complete, sound, without defect, blameless.
I must close with this question: Do those who know you believe you are a genuinely sincere person? If not, what are you going to do about it?

THE GLORIOUS
CREATION
OF THE WORLD

We believe that the Almighty God has brought His wonderful Creation into existence, in six 24-hour days, and that He rested from His Creation work on the seventh day.

THE ORIGIN OF
THE WORLD
We further believe that the Lord God created the entire universe and all that is in it (John 1:3; Acts 4:24; 14:15; 17:24; Eph. 3:9; Rev. 5:13; 10:6) ex nihilo, out of nothing (Matt. 13:35; 25:34; Luke 11:50; John 17:24; Eph. 1:4; Heb. 4:3; Rev. 4:11), and for His own glory (Psa. 19:1). Thus, we believe that God’s work of Creation involved the beginning of the existence of the world without pre-existent matter, without the use of preexisting materials (Rom. 4:17; Heb. 11:3). We also assert the real existence of matter, and we reject the illusion viewpoint of the so-called Christian Science Church. Without apology we assert our belief that “in the beginning God created the heavens and earth.” (Gen. 1:1).

GOD SAID
AND IT WAS
In addition, we believe that in bringing the whole reality into existence the Lord God merely used His spoken word (Gen. 1:3, 6, 9; Psa. 148:5), His Spirit (Psa. 104:30), and His Son (John 1:3; Col. 1:16). Thus, His work of Creation is an act of His sovereign Will, free of any external coercion. We also believe that the Lord God does not involve His own Being in the creative process, and that Creation is neither a part of Him nor is it an emanation from His eternal reality; it is a product of His creative commanding word. Therefore, we reject all forms of Pantheism and we condemn the philosophy of Benedict Spinoza.

A UNIFIED
GOOD CREATION
Furthermore, we believe that the teachings of the Bible exclude every type of a dualism in Creation. Thus, the idea of an inherently evil segment of Creation sourced in an evil being is entirely excluded. Accordingly, we believe that there is no division of reality, no dichotomy into an inherently good Creation and an inherently evil Creation. Rather, we believe the Lord God graciously has created all things intrinsically good, for us to enjoy (1 Tim. 4:3), and nothing made by Him is intrinsically evil (Gen. 1:10, 12, 18, 21, 25; 2:31). Thus, we believe that corrupted Creation is redeemable and sanctifiable. Therefore, we reject and condemn all forms of Manichaeism and its resultant conclusion known as Asceticism.

ITS DEPENDENCY
ON THE CREATOR
Moreover, we believe that the Lord God created subsequent entities fashioned from this previously created material or matter (Gen. 1:20, 24; 2:7, 19, 21). Therefore, we believe that everything that is not God has derived its existence from Him, and is ultimately dependent upon Him. Accordingly, we believe that there are a connection and an affinity among the various parts of Creation. We also believe in the paternal love of God for the entire Creation (Matt. 6:26-30; 10:29), and in the brotherhood of all mankind as God’s created children. As a result we believe that man must never worship Creation or any part thereof, that the Lord God alone is worthy of worship, and that He alone is to be worshiped by His entire Creation (Exod. 20:2-3).

GOD CREATED
A YOUNG EARTH
We further believe that the entire Creation was created by the Lord God in six literal days (Gen. 2:1-3; Exod. 20:11). Possessing the maturity of being habitable for all living creatures, we believe that the Lord God created a young earth having the appearance of old age. Wherefore, we reject the gap theories, the revelatory days theory, and the day-age theory. Thus, we believe in a young earth created and made habitable for man, and therefore created possessing the appearance of the maturity of age.

THE LORD GOD
CREATED THE KINDS
We also believe that every kind [more than a species] was created directly by the Lord God (Gen. 1:21-25). Accordingly, we believe that the Bible record allows for a belief in microevolution, the development within the given kinds; and does not allow for a belief in macroevolution, the transformation of a given kind into another kind. Thus, we believe that there is a logical order or an intelligent pattern within Creation, which calls for scientific investigations free of all prejudice and bias.

MACROEVOLUTION
REJECTED
On the other side, we reject and condemn all evolutionary theories ancient and modern, claiming the transmutations between the kinds, speculating a continuing naturalistic origin of the universe, postulating a self-contained universe whose innate laws develop everything into higher levels of complexity, and further claiming that life is evolving from non-life. We also declare that the Biblical assertion of special Creation cannot be reconciled with any so-called theistic evolutionary theory. It is evident to us that evolutionists, past and present, have failed to come up with a scenario describing the commencement of life on earth by chance and natural causes, which scenario can be accepted on the basis of fact and not faith.


A SUPERNATURAL

Therefore, we assert a completed, perfect and supernatural origin of the entire universe, followed by processes of conservation designed by the Creator to sustain and to maintain the basic systems He gloriously created. We also assert that following the fall of the first parents, the basic principle of disintegration is now at work in the universe, believing that any change from perfection is inevitably a step toward deterioration. In addition, we assert that life comes only from Life — the eternally Self-existing, the Almighty, the All-wise, the All-knowing, and the All-loving Creator. Therefore, we separate ourselves from all who demonstrate sympathies toward those holding to a theory of evolution not in harmony with these assertions made above.

Finally, we reject all evolutionary theories claiming the transmutations between the kinds [more than species], speculating a continuing naturalistic origin of the universe, postulating a self-contained universe whose innate laws develop everything into higher levels of complexity, and further claiming that life is evolving from non-life. SATAN OUR
ADVERSARY

We believe that Satan as originally created, was full of wisdom and beauty, dwelt in Eden, was distinguished as the anointed cherub, and was righteous until iniquity was found in him. We believe that Satan, second in power only to the Supreme Godhead, is the originator of sin, the promoter of sin in angelic and human spheres, and the most imperious opponent of the things of God. Being the highest of all Creation, Satan assumes the position of antigod, the embodiment of all that is evil, himself The Evil One desiring to be worshipped.
We also believe that by Divine permission Satan has usurped the temporary designations, “the prince of the power of the air” and “the god of this world”, though he continues to exist under Divine Sentence. Thus, we believe that the essential feature of Satan's program is to exalt his own throne above the stars of God, to be like the Most High, specializing in self-promoted righteousness.
In addition, we believe that in line with his stated purpose, and through deception, Satan has wrested the scepter from the first Adam and has held sway over the vast majority of the human race. We thus believe that people at large are Satan's prisoners, bondslaves to sin and to The Evil One. Accordingly, we believe that Satan is The One who energizes all the sons of disobedience, binding some in physical distress, tempting all to sin, seeking to devour the elect of God, exercising the power of death, and striving to hinder the work of the Lord God on Earth.
Furthermore, we believe that Satan and his hosts were spoiled, unveiled, triumphed over, judged, and cast out, by the death and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, we believe that through Jesus Christ alone is preached deliverance to Satan's captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and liberty to all the oppressed by The Evil One.
Moreover, we believe that the future judgment upon Satan will be a threefold ex*****on: First, that Satan and his angels will be cast out of Heaven into the Earth, whereby denied all further access to the Godhead, and whereby ceasing to accuse the brethren before our God. Second, that at the glorious return of our Lord Jesus, Satan will be bound by a great chain and will be cast into the Abyss, freeing the Earth from his deceptions for a period of one thousand years. Third, that Satan's final judgment is to be cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Finally, it is evident to us that, in addition to Islamists, there are those who have given themselves to follow and to worship Satan and his demons, including the offering of human sacrifices, the practices of witchcraft, the seeking after psychic phenomena, the practice of astrology, and the supposed communication with the dead. We believe that such practices are condemned in God's Word, and that they induce God's wrath upon such false worshipers. Therefore, we believe that such beliefs and practices publicly and privately must be rejected, shunned, condemned, exposed and opposed.

This pastor should be taught sound interpretation of Scripture.
Both the OT and the NT prohibit women from speaking in the general assembly of a church. This prohibition is not based in any particular culture, but in the never-changing facts pf the creation and the fall of the First Parents.
Here is my repeatedly published article:
DOES THE BIBLE EXCLUDE
WOMEN FROM THE PASTORATE?
YES, IT DOES!!!

Under the poor leadership of Evangelist Franklin Graham and other millionaires in the ministry, disobedience to God’s Word and compromise of God’s truth – have become a common practice in the contemporary church. All in the name of evangelism. However, no one is above the Word of God, no matter the number of his followers or the size of his salary! And revival does not come to a church insubordinate to the Word of God!

According to the New Testament, the local church’s pastor is a man (not a woman) transparently leading a life pleasing to the Lord God, above reproach, and exhibiting the Fruit of the Spirit. The pastorate is limited in God’s Word to such a man who is the husband of one wife. Women are assigned a different role in the local church, assigned by the Lord God Himself. A man full of the Word of God and prayer, submissive to the written Word of God, diligent in bringing souls to Christ, persevering in discipling the believers in Christ, and whose family lives in godliness, is the pastor from God. Similar requirements for local church deacons are specified in 1 Timothy 3:8-13.

The Biblical requirement “the husband of one wife” indicates that the office of a pastor is exclusively for men. Also, the repeated use of the masculine pronoun in reference to the pastor demands a man to occupy the office; not a woman. Therefore, we must conclude that the heresy of a woman pastor is not from God. Women preachers are imposters, in a state of defiance to God. They are not God’s servants. See: I Timothy 3:2; cf. Titus 1:6.

In the local church, the woman is not allowed by God “to teach or exercise authority over a man” (I Timothy 2:12). This Bible teaching is based on the unchanging facts of the original creation and the fall of the First Parents (I Timothy 2:13, 14), and is not rooted in the peculiarities of any culture past or present. All of the 12 apostles of the Lord Jesus were men; no woman was included. Compare: I Corinthians 14:34-37; Titus 2:5; Ephesians 5:22; I Peter 3:1; and Colossians 3:18. All 40 writers of the Bible, over a period of 1,600 years, were men, not a single woman.

Friends, beware of women who claim to preach the Word of God while placing themselves above the Word of God! Beware of those in the ministry who tolerate them, who promote them, who support them and/or who bestow a legitimacy upon them.

I refuse to attend a church that accepts women preachers. I withdraw all support from such a church, an organization or a so-called ministry. I refuse to participate in a meeting where women are granted the authority of preachers. Women can teach other women as well as children, but they must not speak in the general assembly of the local church, for the Almighty has spoken!

If we explore Biblical text for the answers, it is evident in both the Old and New Testaments that God chose and activated both men and women to ministry.

THE HERESY OF
MODERN HEALERS

Does God heal people today, in answer to prayer according to His Will? Yes, He promised to do so, when He sees our healing is best for us and serves His Kingdom! He refuses to heal us when our illness is best for us and serves His Kingdom!

Does God today raise up healers that heal the sick and raise the dead? No, the Gift of Healing & Raising the Dead faded away with the arrival of the New Testament, and is invalid today! Claiming to possess this gift today is deceptive and heretical!

The Apostle Paul possessed the gift of healing and raising the dead. But after the circulation of his first epistle, that gift ceased to exist. Likewise, in Acts 5:12-16, the Apostle Peter healed everyone in year 33 C.E. However, the Apostle Paul lost this gift of healing, as he could not heal Epaphroditus in 64 C.E. (Phil. 2:26-27), or Timothy's stomach and frequent infirmities in 65 C.E. (1 Timothy 5:23) or Trophimus in 66 C.E. (2 Timothy 4:20). There is no Bible evidence that these Apostles healed anyone after the middle of the first century. By then, the Holy Spirit had withdrawn the Gift of Healing & Raising the Dead, to no return in the Church Age.
