SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th - 10:00 AM WORSHIP SERVICE - FIFTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST - The Reflection is entitled, "The Church: A Culture of Reconciliation" and is based on Matthew 18:15-20. It's a demanding, challenging, at times difficult life, discipleship. The narrow Way of following Jesus, of being Christ's Body in the world, is not easy. It's tough being the Church, not only because people can sometimes be difficult and fail to get along with one another but also because Jesus makes great demands upon the Church. And yet, Jesus follows some of his most difficult demands for confrontation, repentance, and forgiveness with a sovereign promise: Where two or three of us are trying to act like Christ's Body, the Church, Jesus will be with us, present to help us to be the faithful disciples he deserves. Payton Dziekan, our Director of Music Ministries, will sing a Solo, "Lord, Make me an Instrument" by David Willcocks, accompanied by Amanda von Rathonyi on the piano. Amanda von Rathonyi is our Pianist & Organist. HOLY COMMUNION WILL BE CELEBRATED. WE PRACTICE "OPEN COMMUNION," meaning all people and children are invited to receive Communion. Those worshipping via our Live-Stream or Audio Worship Services who wish to participate in Communion, please have available a piece of bread/cracker/crouton & your favorite fruit of the vine.
