The Faith Church Youth Pastor will oversee the youth group from middle school through
high school. They will be responsible for building personal relationships with the youth
and engaging them with the love of Jesus Christ. They will also implement activities,
provide sound biblical teaching, and be available for personal counseling as needed.
They will be encouraged and expected to build a team of leaders and helpers to assist
them.
They will be expected to reach out to students at the local middle and high schools to
build relationships. Therefore, this job requires social skills and the ability to use various
social media to help develop and foster a positive Jesus-loving community.
The Youth Pastor will report directly to the Senior Pastor, who will provide guidance,
feedback, and support. The youth minister will also be given opportunities to preach on
certain Sundays. It is understood that their theology will align with the Bible, as
expressed through the Faith Church statements of belief as a non-denominational church body.
Initially, the position will require 20-25 hours per week in a part-time capacity until the group grows and there’s a need for additional hours. The next stage of employment will
be to go from 20-25 hours per week to full-time work as an independent contractor. The
elders will make this determination as needed. While specific youth-directed activities fall within this job description, the Youth Pastor will be expected to also participate
(outside of work hours) in various ongoing church events and activities that are not specific to youth leadership and are a part of any active church member’s involvement.
Educational background required: high school graduation, with additional extended
seminary and youth leadership experience preferred. Interested candidates may submit
