New Abundant Life Missionary Baptist Church NALMBC Cultivating Space for Disciples to Enrich their Faith through Study, Worship and Relationships

New Abundant Life Missionary Baptist Church, (NALMBC), under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth L. Hilliard, is a church that is focused on reaching the unsaved, developing disciples, and exalting the Lord Jesus Christ. We strive to advance and strengthen the body of Christ, by teaching believers to understand who they are in Christ, and encouraging them to develop their own personal relationship with God.

John 11:1-4
When Love Meets Pain

If God loves us, why does pain still comes to us? Mary and Martha were in some serious pain when their brother Lazarus became sick and eventually he died. Sometimes we ask the question why me? Why do we have to go through this pain. We sometimes feel like God isn’t listening to us and God isn’t moving. God has to show us His power through the pain we’re facing in our lives. God never takes something from us without giving us something back. To live is Christ and to die is gain. Jesus delayed His coming so He could teach us about being prepared for a greater revelation in Him.

We all have an appointment with Him and we can’t be prepared if we don’t have your assignment in the focus of our lives.

1. When Love Delays Keep Going

God wants to give you the blessing but He wants to see how you are going to respond to the delay. It is preparing and is preparation for you to move in His direction. Temporary pain produces greater healing.

2. Love That Weeps Overtakes You

Jesus wept when He saw Lazarus and He wants you to know that He can identify with our pain and He has overcome the fear and the pain.

3. Love That Delivers

The love of God never leaves us. No matter where you are He is there. Jesus said to Lazarus, come forth and Lazarus came out of the grave and He was resurrected. When Jesus speaks dead things come alive!! There is nothing that God can bring back alive!!! Hallelujah!! Salvation and Glory to our Lord Jesus!!!

Today’s Sermon Notes…..

Pastor MK Holt
Psalm 125:1-2
I’m Rooted But Not Shaken

Storms don’t ask for permission. Trials don’t announce themselves. Tribulations don’t say to hello I’m coming. Opposition is all around us but God is with us and He is always with us and surrounding us even when we are in the midst of our struggles. God likens us like Mt Zion, we cannot be moved if we trust in Him. When we straddle the fence and are solely focused on Him we are vulnerable to the attacks from our enemy. What is your blind spot that allows the enemy to attack you.

1. A Routed Confidence In Jesus

Trusting in God doesn’t make you vulnerable to the enemy it makes you unmovable to the storms and winds that want to destroy you and your mission. We can’t lean to our understanding we must lean on His wisdom and understanding. Say connected to God in a meaningful way and you will never fold. God is my strength and He is my redeemer. He is my healer and He is my friend!! Who are you in relationship with?? Stay rooted in God.

2. Have A Surrounding Covering

Israel was surrounded my mountains and they helped keep them safe from the enemies that wanted to destroy them. God surrounds us and protects us from our enemies. Even when we get a call or message that is disturbing God is there with you and He is the one who can protect you and bring you out of the darkness and into the light. He wants you to remember where you was and to witness to others, to testify to someone else who might be going through something or maybe the same thing you going through right now!! Testify of the goodness of the Lord.

3. A Relentless Commitment

So the Lord surrounds His people now AND forever. He wants you to believe in Him and to understand that He is the one who is the overcomer and your fight to freedom is rooted in the Lord…..The pain that you are experiencing is real but the Lord is able to deliver us from ANYTHING that we face in life. He has said that He is willing and able to bring us out of everything forever!!! When your feelings tell you that it is more than you can handle He hasn’t moved and He will never leave you or forsake you!! Stay rooted in God and His Son the Lord Jesus!!!
