West Virginia foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers: WVU researchers want to hear from you!
West Virginia University’s Division of Occupational Therapy is conducting an IRB-approved research study to better understand why people choose to become foster parents and how the foster parenting role shapes their identity and experiences.
Who can participate?
Current or former foster parents
Foster-to-adopt parents
Kinship caregivers
Must be 18+ and live in West Virginia
Participation includes a brief, anonymous online survey that takes about 5 minutes. At the end of the survey, you can also volunteer for an optional Zoom interview lasting up to 60 minutes.
Participation is completely voluntary, survey responses are anonymous, and there is no compensation for participating.
The study is being conducted by Richelle Gray, PhD, OTD, ATP/SMS, CDP, with occupational therapy students at WVU.

REMINDER: Any Marion County residents can stop in our office to get a backpack for their child any Mon-Thurs from 10am - 4pm!
NO REGISTRATION NEEDED!
We will have backpacks until school starts/ until we run out!

We're on 200 Fairmont Ave, Suite 106 - you park BEHIND the building and enter through the door on the loading dock, go down the hall to your left and theres our door! Follow the signs with our logo!

The foster closet has blankets, sheets and bedding sets for toddler/crib size mattresses as well as twin and full size beds.
