Some thoughts about prayer at this yearβs National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 7, at Palatine Park, 6P:
WE ARE NOT SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE
I have heard many people in my life make this statement, especially since I gave my heart to the Lord on July 19, 1975. βIβm just a sinner saved by grace or we are just sinners saved by grace.β It sounded spiritual to me as a babe in Christ but as I began to grow up in Christ and desired more then the milk of the Word but hungered for the meat of the Word I received the revelation of who I truly became when I gave my life to our Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Savior and my Lord. Even before I received that revelation the Lord gave me a dream. In that dream I walked into the backyard of my home I was raised in most of my life and I was attacked by every snake God had ever created. They attached themselves one at a time to my arm like they did to Paul on the island of Malta, and bit me. I threw them off of me one by one without harm. The last snake was so huge that in engulfed my whole body standing up and it could have killed me just by swallowing me whole. It became pitch dark but I had no fear and the next thing I knew in that dream was , I burst out of itβs mouth and as I woke up I heard the Lord say to me, βBecause you know who you are in ME you will be victorious in all things.β
That was a dream but it was also a RHEMA Word to me. Rhema meaning, a specific word spoken to me by God.
I began to meditate on that Word God gave me in that dream, study the Word of God and pray over that Rhema Word. Long story short, here is what I learned over the process of meditating, studying and praying over Godβs Word He gave me, which brought revelation of that Word.
I learned that:
We are not sinners saved by grace.
We were sinners saved by grace but we are now the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
What does that mean?
Being the righteousness of God means believers are justified and viewed as righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, not by their own works, but by receiving Christ's perfect righteousness. It signifies being clothed in Christ's holiness, having the status of "justified" and accepted before God through His grace.. A Gift Received: The righteousness of God is not earned but obtained through faith, representing a "righteousness from God" rather than one's own legal observance. Divine Approval: It means God is satisfied with Jesus's offering, and believers are viewed with the same approval as Jesus himself. Covenant Faithfulness: It is a status granted,, representing God's faithfulness in fulfilling his promises through the sacrifice of Jesus. οΏ½The Position of Believers: It allows individuals to stand before God without fear of condemnation because they have the "gift of righteousnessβ. Living Under Grace: It enables believers to walk in freedom, knowing their standing with God is secure because of Christ's finished work. Transformation: It is the result of being born again and having a renewed nature that is naturally inclined toward God, sometimes referred to as "living proof of God's fairness and goodness" So, don't come and stand and pray as a sinner saved by grace because there is no confidence in that. Come and pray as the "Righteousness of God in Christ."
