USDA SECRETARY BROOKE ROLLINS SUED FOR SHARING CHRISTIAN FAITH IN HOLIDAY MESSAGES TO EMPLOYEES
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins is under fire from left-wing activists for daring to acknowledge her Christian faith in official communications.
A lawsuit filed on May 13 by groups including Americans United for Separation of Church and State claims Rollins’ emails to USDA employees amount to unconstitutional “proselytizing.”
The complaint targets messages like her Easter Sunday email, which quoted George Washington: “To the distinguished Character of Patriot, it should be our highest Glory to add the more distinguished Character of Christian.”
Rollins wrote: “He is risen indeed! From the foot of the Cross on Good Friday to the stone rolled away from the now empty tomb, sin has been destroyed. Jesus has been raised from the dead. And so like the very first disciples... this Easter let us too be alive with hope, full of Paschal joy.”
Similar messages went out for the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, where she referenced “the greatest gift possible, the gift of his Son and our Savior Jesus Christ.”
Rollins responded to the lawsuit without apology: “It’s just another opportunity to remind everyone: He is Risen.”
The secular left is once again trying to scrub any public expression of Christianity from government while demanding tolerance for every other belief system. This lawsuit exposes their real goal: not neutrality, but the suppression of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage under the false flag of the First Amendment.
Secretary Rollins is standing firm — as she should. Faith has always been part of American public life, from Washington’s orders to the Continental Army onward. The radicals won’t erase it without a fight.
