Apostles Eastern Shore Our Vision at Church of the Apostles is to see lives restored and the Bay area renewed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The roots of Apostles reflect the most ancient of church traditions: small gatherings of like-minded believers spreading the Good News. Founding Pastor Robert Seawell moved his family to the Eastern Shore in 1999 – called to plant a new church. Over the next year a handful of families met in homes and then in storefronts for weekly worship. In 2007, Apostles was gifted 7 acres of undeveloped, fore

sted property. Reclaimed wood from damaged or abandoned buildings was refurbished, as were doors, windows and panels of old heart pine. The restoration of this property serves as a visible sign for the ongoing work of gospel renewal and transformation in the lives of people.

Beginning this week! Join special guest Joy Grafton and the youth ministry team to discuss how we can support our youth in community!

Joy Grafton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Mobile. She has approximately 16 years of Clinical experience in a range of settings. She is passionate about offering parental support and education especially through her willingness to address difficult topics. Her primary focus in her private practice is on grief, anxiety and adjusting to life transitions. Joy and her husband have served in a variety of ministry positions and enjoy raising their 4 daughters.

With our upcoming VBS and Godly Play training events we are offering group training on our diocese’s “Safeguarding Our People” policy for the protection of
children and adults following the 10AM service on June 14th, 11:30am-1:30pm. All volunteers working with our children must be recertified every two years. We
will meet after church in the Commons to go over the online training together; please bring a computer or tablet to track your training in our system.

Join Fr. Taylor on select Tuesday evenings in June (6/9, 6/16) and July (7/7, 7/14) in the Commons from 6:00 - 7:30pm for a study of different ways Anglicans interact with the Bible. Topics will include: Scripture in worship and the Book of Common Prayer, Bible study methods, Scripture as God’s big story, and praying the Scriptures.
