Please pray for the repose of the soul of parishioner Chandra Ford who passed away on Sunday, October 18th. Please also pray for her husband, Danny, seven children, David, Jacob (Katie), Peter (Isabella), Mary (Connor), William, Katy, and Lizzy, 3 grandchildren, Willa, Nina and Francis, her mother, Carol Williams, and brother, Kirk Williams and all her extended beloved family.

Chandra made a lasting difference in countless lives through her time teaching at Christ the King, her 25 years of leadership and vision for St. Lawrence VBS and children’s religious education, as well as her being a steadfast presence and anchor in our community.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Chandra on Friday, October 23rd, at 11 am. The Mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence. A time of visitation with the family will be offered at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home on Thursday, October 22nd, from 5 to 8 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:30 pm.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of parishioner Derell Wayne Parker who passed away on Tuesday, October 13th. Please also keep in your prayers his wife, Morgan, his children: Michael House and his wife Haley, Peyton Parker, Taylor Grace Parker, and Leila Anne Marie Parker. His grandsons, Liam House and Rowen House. He is also survived by his sisters, Rachel Parker and Melissa Abbott; brother-in-law Phillip (Ashley) Brooks; in-laws Daniel and Janet Brooks; nieces, Cassondra Rodriguez and Chassity Abbott; nephews, Donald Abbott II, Drake Abbott, Anthony Rodriguez, Paul Rodriguez, Cash Brooks; and his dear aunt, Wanda Nelson.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Derell on Saturday, October 24th, at 11 am. The Mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence. A bereavement meal will follow the Mass.

All Souls Day is coming up on Monday, November 2nd. If you have had a loved one pass in the past year please reach out to the front office. There is an opportunity to receive a cross in their memory at the All Souls Day Mass and leave a framed photo of them on the Remembrance Table in the Church Vestibule.

The St. Lawrence Knights of Columbus are collecting coats for both children and adults as we enter the fall and winter season. Please bring any “gently” used or new coats to the bo in the Church for those in need of warm winter protection.

Join us for our October Young Adult Night! We’re heading to the Pensacola Interstate Fair on Friday, October 23 for a fun night of rides, games, food, and fellowship. We’ll meet at the fair at 6:00 PM. The cost is $15, which includes your admission and unlimited rides. Food and games will be available for purchase at the fair.

This event is open to young adults ages 21–29. If you’d like to join us, please fill out the form by October 21 to let us know you’re coming. We hope to see you there!

Today the Pilgrims visited St. Anne de Beaupré. They celebrated Mass and venerated the relic of the mother of Mary.
