Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship

Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship Founded in 1952, the Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship is one of over 1,000 congregations around the country comprising the Unitarian Universalist Association.

We are a diverse, free-thinking group with many different backgrounds, brought together by our desire for friendship, community, and commitment to Unitarian principles and purposes. We do not have a minister. Rather, we have a guest speaker each week. Often the speaker is someone from the community, or from our own Fellowship, with special knowledge about a topic of interest that somehow relates t

o one of the seven UU principles. Sometimes the speaker is a visiting cleric, perhaps Unitarian, perhaps from another religion. We gather wisdom from the world's religions to deepen our understanding and to expand our vision.

Happy Mother's Day 💜

Mother’s Day can hold many things at once.

For some, it is a day of joy, gratitude, and celebration.
For others, it carries grief, estrangement, longing, exhaustion, complicated relationships, or the ache of what never was.

Today, we honor all who nurture, care for, protect, guide, and love others in ways both named and unnamed. We hold close those missing their mothers, grieving children, navigating infertility or loss, carrying complicated family histories, or moving through this day with mixed emotions.

May we meet one another with gentleness.
May we make room for the fullness of people’s experiences.
And may all who need care today receive a little more of it. 💛
