We can't wait to see you this Sunday!! We have great things in store for you! This Sunday Jim D'Acosta will be our early worship lay-leader at 8:45am on the Grandin Patio. At the 10:00 a.m. Worship in the Sanctuary, as America begins year 251, Rev. Brian Bodt will be preaching, “If You Can Keep It," a sermon reflecting on citizenship and virtue. We also have a special guest violinist, Emma Maini with us at the 10am service!

Emma Maini, 17, is a rising senior at Rye Country Day School and an avid chamber music enthusiast who finds connection across the world through her love of music. She began studying music at age seven and soon after worked with Asya Meshberg, where she developed a deep understanding of chamber music and refined her quartet skills. In 2020, she founded the Phillip String Quartet with her closest friends. In 2019, Emma and her brother, Ayush, co-founded Children Helping Children, an annual benefit concert that brings together gifted young musicians to share their love of music while supporting children both locally and globally. Since then, Emma has continued to grow as a musician, performing internationally and teaching children around the world.

Emma has won numerous competitions and has performed at Carnegie Hall and with the Symphony of Westchester in 2021, 2025 and 2026. She also teaches at the Young Artists Philharmonic (YAP) in Greenwich. Currently, she attends the Pre-College Division of The Juilliard School, where she studies under Elizabeth Chang and Lucie Gelinas. Each year, Emma looks forward to the benefit concert and the opportunity to share music with her friends while creating lasting memories. Outside of music, she enjoys sketching, experimenting with new pastry recipes, and—most importantly—eating them.

We're so proud of our 280 youth and adults who served God by serving others through the Appalachia Service Project this week in West Virginia! It was SO hot, but they were SO determined, and they did SO much good! Pray for traveling mercies as they journey home tomorrow!

How's your summer going? Our is FABULOUS so far!
This Sunday, June 28th:
8:45 a.m. Outdoor Worship, on Grandin Patio next to the Church (chairs are provided, and if it rains we meet in the Sanctuary). Throughout the summer, these informal and thought-provoking services are led by members of the church. This Sunday Bert Andren and David Rowe will be our worship leaders.

At our 10:00 a.m. Worship in the Sanctuary, with David preaching. This Sunday, 6/28, and next, 7/5, will be July 4th-250th Anniversary centered. David's sermon this Sunday will be "Fits and Spurts: How We Got Here", with inspiring music by soloist David White.

We also have a special soloist... back with us is the amazing cellist, Tyler Ngai! Tyler is a senior at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, attending as the recipient of the William and Elva Gordon Scholarship in Music, studying with Valentin Radutiu and formerly with Desmond Hoebig. Recent summer festival engagements include fellowship opportunities with the Pacific Music Festival (2026) and the Aspen Music Festival and School (2025), leading to performances in venues such as Suntory Hall and the Klein Music Tent. Tyler has served as principal cellist for both the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra as well as the Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra. His other mentors include Kangho Lee and Blake Brasch, and he has played in masterclasses for cellists such as Richard Aaron, Jens Peter Maintz, and Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt. Tyler plays on a 2025 cello made by American luthier Jon van Kouwenhoven. Please plan on joining us!
