Dear Relief Society Sisters. We invite you to join us on Thursday, Sept 12, 6:30-8:30 pm for 4th quarter Ministering interviews as well as a chance to mingle and socialize! We have a need and desire to catch up with each other after summer vacations, and some wonderful new sisters to meet! Hope to see you there - for the whole time or drop by when you can!

Together - we can accomplish this stewardship responsibility with full purpose and enjoyment!

Hello Sisters,
Are you signed up to volunteer for the Temple Open House? There is still time and we are in great need to fill up some of the openings so that this will be a successful open house. There are some members who have signed up for more than one shift. But we still have many, many spots to man for this event. Youth can do ushering and cleaning spots. You can serve even if you do not as yet have a temple recommend. In fact, nonmembers are welcome to volunteer if they would enjoy doing so. This will be a wonderful opportunity for us who serve as well as for those who will get possibly their first glimpse of the holy temple of God. Just a reminder that we have been invited to join Fairfield 2nd Ward for their Relief Society activity this week - Thursday, March 7th at 6:00 PM. This will be a dinner and program - childcare will be provided.

The theme for the evening is a "Bee"-day Party" in honor of the the founding of Relief Society back in March, 1842. We are asked to participate in a service project. We will be making birthday bags for a local shelter so moms can celebrate their kids' birthdays. To help with these kits, please help by bringing: cake mixes, candles, frostings, plates, napkins, sprinkles.

Hello Sisters! Welcome to a new year and some new changes at church and for Relief Society. Here is a quick review of the exciting changes:

* The general church membership will now meet for a 2 hour block on Sundays. Fairfield 3rd Ward will meet from 12:00 - 2:00 PM beginning tomorrow (1/6/19).

* The second hour will be Sunday School on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. Relief Society and other auxilliaries will be held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays during the second hour. Any 5th Sundays will be determined by the Bishop.

* The Sunday School curriculum will come from a new manual - "Come, Follow Me - For Sunday School". We will learn how to access these lessons during our first Sunday lesson. All manuals can be accessed through the Gospel Library app on our devices and computers. Physical copies can be acquired through store.lds.org or Deseret Book.

* The shortened schedule at church allows us the time to devote to a new home study program and will utilize the manual "Come Follow Me - For Individuals and Families". The ward is providing a manual to each family. Please check with our ward clerk to see if there are still some available. Physicial copies can be bought through store.lds.org or Deseret Book. This study program is meant to go along with the Sunday School lessons so that

* Relief Society lessons will continue to come from the most recent General Conference talks. Sunday councils will occur less often, as needed. And Relief Society service, ministering, and activities will still be happening.

We are hoping for a wonderful year of in-depth learning together as ward members, Relief Society sisters, and families. Happy New Year to you all!
