Fairfield Wesleyan Church April 5, 2026 will be our FINAL church service. April 12, 2026 come celebrate over 90 years of FWC with us before we close! Service is at 10:30 am on Sunday!

Ruth Dynes Obituary
DYNES, Ruth Esther age 84, of Hamilton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Friday April 5, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1939 in Olean, New York the daughter of John and Irene (nee Close) Vroman.

On June 9, 1958 in Norwood, Ohio she married Bernard Dynes; they raised their family in Mount Healthy and later moved to Hamilton. She and Bernard attended the Fairfield Wesleyan Church. Ruth was a graduate of Miami University's nursing program in Hamilton and was employed as an RN at Berkley Square for over twenty years.

Ruth and Bernard loved to spend time in Galeton, Pennsylvania at their country home. A previous dairy farm, the property was close to family and Ruth's childhood home. The old farm was truly a sanctuary for them and they enjoyed entertaining friends and family on the property.

Ruth is the beloved mother of Thomas Dynes, Joseph (Brigitt Minieri) Dynes, and Richard Dynes; and cherished grandmother of Chelsea Dynes, Olivia (Nick) Roach, Benjamin Dynes and Elliott Dynes. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard Dynes; her brothers Jack Vroman, Tom Vroman and James Vroman; and her parents John and Irene Vroman.

A visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home (Hamilton) on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11 am until the time of funeral service at 12 pm. She will be laid to rest at the Knowlton Elk Run Cemetery in Gaines, Pennsylvania next to Bernard.
