St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Welcome! St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church is known as "the Mother Church" of Fairfield and this year we are celebrating 150 years of faith.

The Mission for Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish is prayer and liturgical worship are the essence of our faith community. The Gospel message is proclaimed by word and deed, and nurtured by ongoing opportunities for religious formation, evangelization, social action and worship.

A beautiful new sign now welcomes all who pass by St. Thomas Aquinas Parish!

Fr. David blessed it following the 8:00 AM Mass yesterday. Even more special, the cross atop the sign is shining brightly once again after nearly a decade.

May this renewed sign be more than a marker, it is an invitation. An invitation to prayer, worship, community, and a deeper encounter with Christ.

Whether you’re a longtime parishioner or simply passing by, know that there is always a place for you here at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Today, we took Jesus to the streets of Fairfield.

As we celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, our parish family processed through our community with the Blessed Sacrament, publicly proclaiming our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

With every step, we prayed for our neighbors, our families, our schools, our first responders, our businesses, and all who call Fairfield home. May all who saw Him passing by be reminded of His love, His mercy, and His desire to be close to each of us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in this beautiful witness of faith. Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist and today, we carried that truth into the heart of our community.

Join us for a very special day in the life of our parish as we celebrate Fr. Herley’s First Mass as a priest!

📅 Sunday, June 14
⏰ 10:00 AM
📍 St. Thomas Aquinas Parish

This is a beautiful opportunity to come together as a parish family to welcome Fr. Herley and celebrate this incredible milestone in his priesthood. Let’s fill the church with prayer, joy, and support as he offers his first Mass with our community.

Please note: There will be no 12:00 PM Mass that day so that our entire parish community can gather together for this special celebration.

All are welcome - bring your family, invite a friend, and help us give Fr. Herley a warm St. Thomas Aquinas welcome!

One of our Pre-K graduates took a quiet moment to kneel before Jesus after graduation—a beautiful reminder that faith is at the heart of all we do. As this chapter comes to a close, we pray that God continues to guide and bless our youngest learners on the journey ahead. ✝️

A few weeks ago, Justin was on the Katie Prejean McGrady show, and she promised that the next time she was in Connecticut, she’d take him out for ice cream. 🍦

Well… she kept her word.

What started as ice cream turned into a beautiful conversation about faith, life, and the importance of authentic Catholic community. Moments like these remind us how powerful simple invitations and genuine connections can be.

Thank you, Katie, for your kindness, your witness, and for pouring into our young people in such a meaningful way. 💙
