Quilters, seamstresses, sew-ers of all kinds... it's time for some sewing fun! Registration begins February 15th. Patterns will be available to Registrants beginning March 8th.

Like the Knit & Crochet project listed recently, this will be a lot of fun to be a part of. Patty (from Project Linus HQ) has a great way for us to use our stash of scraps (and any sew-er definitely has a stash, or two, of scraps!) What better way to use those scraps than to complete a blanket (or 2, or 3...) for a child/teen that could use a 'hug'!

When you register, please be sure to put our Chapter's name on the form - Adams County Chapter of Project Linus, and our Coordinator's name - Cindy Sanderson. That way, the entire Registration Fee ($20) will be put into our account where yarn/material/etc can be purchased for Project Linus blankets, or be applied to other Chapter expenses.

This is not a competition, but is a great way to join other participants, and have a lot of fun while using scraps and making a blanket!

If you can join us for a meeting, we'd love to have you bring your blanket(s) in and we can all see what YOU are working on; or after you are done, what you have created!

Calling all Crocheters and Knitters - Join in the fun! Registration begins January 18th. Patterns will be sent to Registrants on February 1st.

This is a lot of fun to be a part of, see what others' projects look like and the colors they've chosen, practicing stitches you know and maybe learning new ones... And best of all - complete a blanket (or 2, or 3, or...) for a child/teen that could use a 'hug'!

When you register, please be sure to put our Chapter's name on the form - Adams County Chapter of Project Linus, and our Coordinator's name - Cindy Sanderson. That way, the Registration Fee (only $20) will be made available to our Chapter to purchase materials/yarns/etc, or be applied to other expenses.

It is not a competition, but is a great way to be a part of the participants and have a lot of fun doing it.

Plus, we'd love to have you bring your blanket(s) to a meeting where we can all see what YOU have created!

Project Linus: A Season of Giving Event!
With the holidays approaching, we are reminded that there are thousands of children across the country who are going through difficult circumstances: children in need of comfort. Project Linus provides handmade blankets as gifts to children who are ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. They may be suffering from illness, a family crisis, homelessness, abuse, or have lost everything in a natural disaster. Economic hardship has hit so many families, we want to help those children. We have sent over 2000 blankets so far to hurricane victims in TN, NC and Florida. This will be an ongoing process for us.

We need your help to continue our mission. The number of children that need blankets continues to grow. On Dec 24, 2024, Project Linus will celebrate 29 years of providing comfort and security to over 10 million children. Please help us to continue for 29 more years.

We invite you to go to www.projectlinus.org and make a “Season of Giving” donation! If you wish you can designate your local chapter (Adams County Chapter of Project Linus!)

A donation of $20 will make a single layer fleece blanket.
A donation of $25 will purchase 2 pkgs of baby blanket batting.
A donation of $40 will purchase yarn for an Afghan.
A donation of $50 will purchase fabric for a quilt top.
A donation of $60 will pay to send a box of blankets to children impacted by a natural disaster.
A donation of $75 will pay for a complete quilt.
A donation of $100 provides up to 5 children with a blanket.
A donation of $150 will purchase a large roll of batting (the middle of quilts).

Thanks to our volunteers who work so hard to make these blankets! Without our volunteers there would be no Project Linus.

Thank you for your Donation!
Patty Gregory, President/CEO
Cindy Sanderson, Adams County Chapter Coordinator
