Stop by and check us out, worship with us, and see if this is a place where you can grow in your relationship with Jesus. Join us Sunday mornings for a time of worship and teaching, or Wednesday nights for our teaching various bible topics.

"God uses suffering to soften our hard hearts."

That sentence stayed with me long after the sermon ended.

We spend so much of our lives asking God to remove our brokenness. Yet so often, He chooses to meet us in it.

Brokenness has a way of stripping away our pride, exposing our need for Jesus, and reminding us that we were never meant to carry life on our own. It teaches us to rejoice in God's faithfulness instead of relying on our own strength.

"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.'" — 2 Corinthians 12:9

God doesn't delight in our suffering, but He doesn't waste it either. He uses it to soften hearts that have grown hard, strengthen faith that has grown weak, and draw His children closer to Himself.

If you're walking through a difficult season today, don't lose hope. The very thing that feels like it's breaking you may be the very thing God is using to make you more like Christ.

His grace is still sufficient. His purpose is still unfolding. His love has never left you.

"Tribulations produce perseverance."

That simple statement stayed with me all day.

Our natural instinct is to pray for God to remove our trials. But Scripture reminds us that God often uses them to shape us.

Trials reveal where we've been deceived. They expose the places where sin has taken hold. They humble us, call us to repentance, and remind us that our hope isn't found in ourselves—but in Christ alone.

"Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance..." Romans 5:3

The gospel isn't just about being saved from something—it's about being transformed into someone who looks more like Jesus.

No matter what you're carrying today, don't let your tribulation become your identity. Let it become the place where God grows your perseverance, deepens your faith, and reminds you that His grace is enough.

Repent. Trust Christ. Praise Him—no matter what.

"Fear drives us to God for our protection."

This Sunday’s message reminded us that fear isn't always something God immediately removes—it can be something He uses. Through our fears, trials, and struggles, God teaches us to depend on Him, trust His grace, and find our strength in Him.

"And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son..." — Romans 8:28-29

What if the very thing you're afraid of is being used by God to draw you closer to Him and shape you more into the likeness of Christ?

God never wastes our pain. He uses it for our good and His glory.
