The Sisterhood of Congregation Ahavath Achim, 1571 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, held its first Crafts Show and Bake Sale on Sunday, August 25, 2013. There were over 20 talented crafters & direct market vendors selling their merchandise. There were several raffle drawings which included merchandise from the Pampered Chef Co, Premier Design Jewelry, Thirty One Gifts, Mary Kay Cosmetics, The Bigelow Tea Company, many original items created by the talented crafters in attendance, & the grand prize of a Keurig Coffeemaker won by Ada Merrill's daughter, Heather, of Heather's Korner. Several of the vendors brought their children to participate in the fun and enjoy the freshly baked cookies, cakes & muffins. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, chips & beverages sold for lunch. Mr. Shalom Mizrahi and Mr. Andrew Klein, members of the synagogue, were the grill masters and won high praise from the customers for their excellent cooking skills.
