God’s plan to save the world started before God ever created it. He sealed his promise with a rainbow. Then made good on the promise with a cross. None of us are all we might be. But still Somebody loves us, and He sent His Son to die for us. That’s the Gospel. A Father willing to welcome home a disobedient child. A Father willing to take that child’s place on the cross of Calvary.

David spoke at our church a few months ago, with his powerful message of healing and love. It is a real treat to see him and experience his ministry.

🎤 Workshop Leader Highlight: Rev. Dr. David Ford

We’re honored to welcome Rev. Dr. David Ford as a workshop leader for Annual Conference 2026, where he will be leading a session on Evangelism.

David is an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church of Virginia and is appointed to serve as an evangelist with Birthmark Ministries. With over 43 years of ministry experience, he has served churches across Florida, Georgia, and Virginia, helped plant new churches, and ministered as a hospital chaplain and youth director.

He has also participated in mission work around the world, including Russia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Cuba. David’s passion is to make the Good News of Jesus fully known—by word, deed, and the power of the Holy Spirit—raising up fully devoted disciples of Christ.

David holds degrees from Palm Beach Atlantic College, Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife Mary Lou have been married for 43 years and are blessed with three children and ten grandchildren.

We’re excited for the wisdom, experience, and passion he’ll bring as we gather together.

We had an awesome week with the visiting missionaries from the Central Londrina Methodist Church. We worshiped and evangelized across Fairfax and DC. We are looking forward in joy for the next mission trip.

What a great night! God blessed all three churches that attended.

"Don't give away your oil. Keep the main thing the main thing. 🔥"

That was a powerful moment from last week's message about the danger of burning out by trying to please everyone. Carrying that kind of weight is exhausting.

But you know what else is exhausting? Carrying the weight of anger, grudges, or broken relationships.

This Sunday, we are shifting gears to talk about how to lay that burden down. We are looking at Jesus' teaching on why true peace—and true worship—starts with reconciliation.

👇 Join us this Sunday at 9:30 AM if you are ready to let go of some weight.

You want to help people. You want to be kind. But what happens when trying to please everyone actually causes a disaster?

In this message, we look at the powerful story of a Lighthouse Keeper who just wanted to be a good neighbor. He gave his oil to a mother for heat and a farmer for his wheel. They were good causes—but they cost him his primary purpose, and the lights went out.

If you feel like you are running on empty because you are giving pieces of yourself to everyone else, this message is for you.

We explore:

The Lighthouse Trap: Why "good" things can sometimes be the enemy of the "best" thing.

Your True Value: Why Jesus compared you to "Salt" (and why that meant you were as valuable as currency).

Finding Focus: How to shine consistently without needing to be a "laser beam".

👇 Are you keeping your light burning, or just giving away your oil? Let us know in the comments.

The one Guest we often forget to invite.

There’s an old story about a man who threw a massive, extravagant birthday party. The decorations were perfect, the music was playing, and the gifts were piled high. But midway through the night, someone realized the tragic secret of the party: They hadn't actually invited the person whose birthday it was.

It sounds crazy, but as we rush toward the finish line of December, we have to ask: Are we doing the same thing?

Are we having a Christmas celebration without the guest of honor?

This Sunday, for the final week of Advent, we are going back to Luke 2 to find the true Christ of Christmas.

The question isn't whether He is here. The question that will define your Christmas is simply this:

Won't you let Him in?

Won't you let Him into your heart, your attitudes, and your real life this year as never before?

Come make room this Sunday.
