🤲 From Christian to Muslim: Sister Dominica's (Nikki's) Story 🕌
🙏 Raised to believe in One God by her mother, Sister Dominica (Nikki) never identified with the Christian religion despite attending church. She had a firm belief in the monotheistic concept but found herself uncomfortable praying to Jesus instead of God directly. Her knowledge of Islam at this point was merely surface-level. 📚
🌍 As an adult, she had brief exposure to Islam, attending a few classes at a local mosque. However, cultural differences and misconceptions about the religion discouraged her. She still longed for a connection to God, but didn't know where to find it. 🧕
💔 After adopting two foster children and the untimely death of her husband, Nikki found herself at a low point, turning to alcohol to cope. Realizing she needed to turn her life over to God, she prayed for His guidance. This led to her making a life-altering decision. 🕯️
💡 An old friend introduced her to the Quran. Reading it, she found the clarity and connection to God she had been seeking. The misconceptions she held about Islam started to vanish. 🕋
🌟 Sister Dominica recited the shahadah and officially embraced Islam. Despite the numerous trials she has faced, she feels content, at peace, and free from her previous struggles. 🙌
