Two People. One Table. One Savior.

In Luke 7:36-50, a respected Pharisee and a broken sinner sit in the same room with Jesus. One trusted his religion. The other trusted the Savior.

By the end of the story, one leaves unchanged while the other leaves forgiven.

This Sunday morning we’ll examine one of the most powerful encounters in the Gospel of Luke and discover why God’s grace is still the greatest need of every person—regardless of their past, their reputation, or their religious background.

What a sweet day in the Lord’s house! From the opening choir special to the worship, preaching, and invitation, the presence of God was evident throughout the service.

The greatest blessing was seeing another soul saved today and a believer come forward to follow the Lord in baptism. What makes it even more special is that this couple has lived near our church for 25 years. After visiting for the first time last week, today the husband trusted Christ as Savior and his wife came forward for baptism.

We thank God for His goodness and are reminded that the Gospel still changes lives! “This is the Lord’s doing”
