Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 22; Isaiah 27:1-28:13; Mark 12:18-27; 2 Corinthians 12:1-10

Today's Highlighted Passage (2 Corinthians 12:7-10): So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Daily Pastoral Reflection: Our weaknesses are often a strength to the gospel, not a barrier to sharing it. When we are weak and do not have the strength to go on, it is only through the power of Christ that we can go on. Paul recognized this truth with a physical pain. But each of us is weak in some area. Instead of using our weakness as an excuse, may we give it over to God, allow Him to strengthen us through Christ for His glory, and see what amazing things He will do in and through us.

Tomorrow's Bible Reading: Joshua 23:1-24:28; Isaiah 28:14-29:24; Mark 12:28-37; 2 Corinthians 12:11-21

Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 20-21; Isaiah 25-26; Mark 12:13-17; 2 Corinthians 11:16-33

Today's Highlighted Passage (Isaiah 26:7-9): The path of the righteous is level; you make level the way of the righteous. In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul. My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

Daily Pastoral Reflection: If you turn on the news, no matter where it is in the world, it seems like the unrighteous of the world are winning. Evil and destruction surround us. Yet, these words spoken in Isaiah 26 remain true. God established the pathway for the righteous as we wait on our God. Our souls long for our Savior to come and make all things new. As we come to worship today, may our souls wait upon the Righteous One, the one who can make us righteous through the sacrifice given for us upon the cross.

Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 19:32-51; Isaiah 23-24; Mark 11:27-12:12; 2 Corinthians 11:1-15

Today's Highlighted Passage (Mark 12:10-12): Have you not read this Scripture: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?” And they were seeking to arrest him but feared the people, for they perceived that he had told the parable against them. So they left him and went away.

Daily Pastoral Reflection: During Jesus’ final week, He knew what would happen. He knew that He was to be betrayed and crucified. Jesus knew that His own people would reject Him. Despite this, Jesus prophesied what would happen and obeyed God’s plan, thereby opening eternal life to all who follow Jesus. Jesus allowed Himself to be rejected by the world so that we would be saved by His grace. Praise be to God!

Weekly Wrap-Up For This Week

Answer: Those who rightly, worthily, and in faith eat the broken bread and drink the blessed cup partake of the body and blood of Christ in a spiritual manner until he comes.

Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 19:17-31; Isaiah 21-22; Mark 11:20-26; 2 Corinthians 10

Today's Highlighted Passage (Mark 11:22-25): And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Daily Pastoral Reflection: How bold are our prayers, and do we expect God to answer our prayers? Jesus says that all prayer offered according to God’s will is going to be answered. Yet we often doubt God can heal us. We doubt if we can be forgiven of our sin or truly forgive someone else. Answer to prayer is a promise, not a wish. May we be bold in prayer, trusting that our God will answer our prayers according to His will.

Tomorrow's Bible Reading: Joshua 19:32-51; Isaiah 23-24; Mark 11:27-12:12; 2 Corinthians 11:1-15

Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 19:1-16; Isaiah 19:16-20:6; Mark 11:15-19; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Today's Highlighted Passage (2 Corinthians 9:6-8): The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

Daily Pastoral Reflection: A Christian should give because they desire to share what they have. Our giving should model our God’s giving: thoughtful, abundant, and purposeful. When we filter our giving through this filter, we become cheerful because we entrust God to utilize the gift for His glory. We become cheerful because we get to see the power of God work in the lives of others. We become cheerful because the kingdom of God advances when we remain faithful to our God.

Tomorrow's Bible Reading: Joshua 19:17-31; Isaiah 21-22; Mark 11:20-26; 2 Corinthians 10

Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 18; Isaiah 18:1-19:15; Mark 11:12-14; 2 Corinthians 9:1-5

Today's Highlighted Passage (Joshua 18:1-4): Then the whole congregation of the people of Israel assembled at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. The land lay subdued before them. There remained among the people of Israel seven tribes whose inheritance had not yet been apportioned. So Joshua said to the people of Israel, “How long will you put off going in to take possession of the land, which the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you? Provide three men from each tribe, and I will send them out that they may set out and go up and down the land. They shall write a description of it with a view to their inheritances, and then come to me.

Daily Pastoral Reflection: In the book of Joshua, you get these descriptions of how the Israelites divided the land when they took possession of the promised land. These things might seem legalistic, but they tell of the history of God’s people. For us today, we should be a people who recounts and records our history because it points back to God’s faithfulness. Then, as time continues, we can recount our history and know we can trust in God’s promises.

Tomorrow's Bible Reading: Joshua 19:1-16; Isaiah 19:16-20:6; Mark 11:15-19; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

06/09/2026

Today's Bible Reading: Joshua 15-17; Isaiah 17; Mark 11:1-11; 2 Corinthians 8:16-24

Today's Highlighted Passage (Isaiah 17:10-11): For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge; therefore, though you plant pleasant plants and sow the vine-branch of a stranger, though you make them grow on the day that you plant them, and make them blossom in the morning that you sow, yet the harvest will flee away in a day of grief and incurable pain.

Daily Pastoral Reflection: When we forget about God, anything we produce will fade away. This warning given to Damascus is a reminder to all that it is possible to forget about God. And while Damascus did not immediately feel the pain of their separation from God and prospered for a short while, it eventually felt the pain of separation from the Lord. We must be quick to recognize that even if we don’t feel pain when we forget about the Lord, we are harming ourselves when we stray away from the Lord. Therefore, remember the Lord, our God, today, and remember His goodness and mercy.
