Jubilee's mission is to practice the ways of heaven on earth.

This statement aligns with much of the Bible, especially the Sermon on the Mount. It involves trusting daily in the Messiah, caring for your neighbors, loving your enemies, and fulfilling the calling God has on your life.

Labor Day is a time where the Sabbath and Jubilee are greatly needed. Because everyone isn't able to rest from working. Everyone isn't able to rely on others to meet their needs due to a lack of fair wages. The contrast in our society is on full display.

Part of God's plan was to send the Christ figure (Jesus) to earth to establish justice across a multitude of ways in a very personal way. That personal way is found in his suffering. This is laid out in Isaiah 40-55.

This matters because Jesus and justice go hand in hand. Justice is a Bible word and goal. Don't let politics turn you away from the word justice.

I know far too many right leaning pastors/priests that declare it's only right to preach the gospel but go 'Kevin Durant like' on social media about social issues, typically just one issue, while calling left leaning pastors/priests so many pejoratives (woke, etc) that it's hypocritically hysterical.

One part of listening to Jesus as Lord means listening to the culture and telling people that you've got answers to their questions. But those answers won't always be liked.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?
Alpha is for anyone who is curious about God, faith, or life. People come for different reasons and from different backgrounds. No question is out of bounds, and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any religious background or belief in the Christian faith.

WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha is a series of conversations that explore God, faith, and life in a fun, non-judgmental and open environment. We begin with dinner at 6:00pm.

We’d love to invite you to join us for the first night of Alpha to see if it’s for you; there’s no pressure to come back if it doesn’t seem like a good fit.

TOPICS INCLUDE:
Why am I here?
Who is Jesus?
What about prayer?
How does God guide us?

We encourage everyone to come to the first night simply to check it out, then decide if you want to stay for the whole course. There is no pressure.
