Hello choir friends! On a regular Sunday we would be about halfway through practice right now but, unfortunately, this is not a regular Sunday. I am sad to not be with you and I am sad that we will not be finishing out this choir season as we hoped. We have had such a great year together exploring what it means to choose joy and now is the time to put it into practice. As we have talked about over and over again, joy is not a feeling. Joy is hope in Jesus. As we face disappointment, pain, pandemic, you name it, we can hold onto joy- Jesus overcame it all for us, He already won.

It is ok for you to feel sad, disappointed, discouraged, or whatever it is you are feeling. Take time to express those feelings whether it is in a journal, in prayer, or to another person- I will happily lend an ear. In the end, choose to lean on Jesus- the ultimate source of joy.

You are cared for, you are seen, you are known, you are loved. -Patsy
