Servant. This is the position Jesus took alongside as savior. Not only did he take on this position but when he washed the disciples feet this position was the lowest as they rank in servanthood. The greatest among us all, the king of kings took on the lowest of statures to demonstrate to us what it means to serve. Jesus served out of love. What do you serve out of? Lord Jesus help us to humble ourselves and imitate you more often. Guide us in our service and help us to glorify you in all we do as we serve those you place before us. Amen.

Strength. Not physical strength but spiritual strength is what we need to become the disciples god has called us to be. Spiritual strength is gained as we flex our muscles of trust and faith. We work on our forgiveness and mercy and compassion. Most importantly we run this race of life with love being our fuel. Lord Jesus help us to become better by strengthening us spiritually and placing love at the center of our lives. Amen.

Grateful. Life may not be what we expected it to be right now but it won’t stay this way either. Being grateful is a spiritual discipline and not a result of our situations. Having an attitude of gratitude takes practice, trusting in our God, a change in our hearts not in our situations. Lord we give you thanks for all that you are and help us to be who you created us to be. Change our hearts and minds that we may learn to be grateful even when life is not easy. Amen.

Let us go into the world today as Christ’s representatives, being living examples of who Christ is and how the Bible tells us to live. Love is action not lip service. May our actions speak louder than our words. I have said it before and I will say it again, Remember you may be the only bible someone will ever read. Lord Jesus help us today to be read, to be read well and to be read often as we live out our faith in you. Especially in today’s world! Amen.

Lord today may we remember to seek and see you and praise your most Holy name. As we go about our day use us for your glory and let us never forget that you are an amazing God of abundant grace,mercy, compassion and love. Guide us to be the same. May we love all and worship one and serve always. Amen.
