Hebrew School News!
Wow — six months into an incredible Hebrew School year already!
It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by! The excitement for Jewish learning, growing Jewish pride, and vibrant classroom energy are truly inspiring to witness each and every week!
Our students continue to make tremendous strides in Hebrew reading, confidently passing levels, expanding their Hebrew vocabulary, and building strong reading skills. The classrooms are filled with the beautiful sounds of Hebrew prayers and songs, as children enthusiastically learn new prayers and develop a meaningful connection to daily prayer and to Hashem.
These past few weeks students explored important mitzvot such as Tzedakah, understanding the power of giving and caring for others, along with Bikur Cholim (visiting the sick) and Hachnasat Orchim (welcoming guests). We also celebrated Tu B’Shvat, discovering the deeper lessons we learn from trees and how they reflect our own personal growth. In addition, classes learned about the brachot (blessings) we say over different foods and gained knowledge in the concept of kosher foods.
In Jewish history, the different classes covered — learning about the Beit Hamikdash in Jerusalem, reliving the journey out of Egypt, and connecting with the timeless stories and lessons of our forefathers Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov. Meanwhile, our Bat Mitzvah class has been diving into the powerful words of Eishet Chayil, exploring the strengths, values, and beautiful qualities of Jewish women.
