Update on Brother Gene Webb:

A few have asked about my dad, and I haven’t updated in a couple of weeks.

He started physical therapy and speech therapy. He’s got to have a swallowing study since he’s still have swallowing issues, and he is scheduled to see ENT also. Stacy will be taking him to see ENT. Unfortunately, though, his physical therapy for his neck surgery has to be on hold since he fell earlier this week. He looked down, and his legs just gave. He fell and broke four ribs and skint up his hand and knee. The surgery was supposed to fix that nerve issue - it hasn’t yet. I am not sure if it will. So continued prayers is very much appreciated!!

Also a few have asked when is he on the radio. He comes on WWIC on Sunday mornings from 7:30 to 8 a.m.

Another Angel Has Gone Home.

💗 Shirley Curtis 💗

Heaven has gained another Angel and Bethel has lost a wonderful precious Lady. Please keep Ms. Shirley Curtis’s family, Church family and friends who loved her so very much in your prayers during this difficult time. We are grieving the loss of this precious Lady, she was such a blessing and inspiration to everyone around her. Shirley’s unconditional love and God’s light shined every where she was, her loving smile lit up the room and there was always a precious hug waiting. Although our hearts are breaking here and we will sure miss Ms. Shirley dearly, I know she is having a glorious time with Jesus, Dan, Danny and the rest of her family and friends that have gone on home. God promises us that we will see her again one day. Oh what a glorious day that will be when all his children join that wonderful reunion in Heaven someday. We love you Shirley, fly high precious Angel. Forever in our hearts 💗

Another angel has left us at Bethel.

Shirley Curtis age 85 of Fackler passed away July 7, 2024. She is survived by her son Jason (Christi) Curtis; daughter in law, Linda Curtis; grandchildren, Ryan (Becky) Curtis, Shawn (Nicole) Curtis, and Shawna (Jared) Gifford; great grandchildren, Audrey Curtis, Kaley Curtis, Emmett Curtis, Hudson Curtis, and Millie Grace Gifford; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Carolyn Nichols. She was preceded by her husband, Dan Curtis; parents, James and Maudie Powell; son, Danny Curtis; sister, Marie Webb. Visitation will be 5-8 on Wednesday and the funeral will be 11 AM Thursday July 11, 2024. Burial will be in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with Johnny Webb, Gene Webb, and Billy Ray Webb officiating.

Mrs. Shirley P. Miller, age 78, of Scottsboro, AL, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. She was a member for 70 years at Bethel Baptist in Carnes, Al. She was known for her Arts and Crafts. She had a servant’s heart and blessed many people with her crafts and baking.

The funeral service will be Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until time of service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Richard Hal Miller; son, Jeremy Matthew Smith (Kelly); step-daughter, Angela M. Kelley; special friend, Kay Webb; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Lee and Annie Bell Matthews and brother, Brastel Lee Matthews.
