Hi everyone, as the pastor of Faith United Methodist Church here in Eyota, I would like to tell you about a new endeavor we have started. As you can see we have installed a new neighborhood free Pantry just outside of the church. Have you ever had a time in your life when you were down to your last dime and all the stores were closed and you weren't sure what to do? Ever needed a quick meal or a few badly needed supplies? ( Believe me, I've been there, done that) please feel free to come down take what you need, no questions asked.Are we not reminded by Jesus in The Book of John 15:12 "this is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you"?
That's what this is all about. If by chance you would feel so inclined, share this with someone who may be in need.

The Oak Ridge boys, once sang a song about kids. They sang "Thank God for kids there's magic for a while and the nearest thing to Heaven is a child."As I continue my Ministry at this church, it never fails to amaze me what they will do or say. I feel so blessed today. And you just never know when of them will sneak up on you at the alter no less and want to give you a hug 🥲🙏

Hi everyone, just sitting here in the sanctuary, feeling blessed in so many ways. I'm fully clothed, comfortable in this air conditioned church. My stomach full of food and my car full of gas. Yet I somewhat struggle with, what can I do for the people in Hawaii who survived and are now picking up the pieces from Hurricane lala, what can I do for the people in Indiana and further south who are dealing with flooding? What can I do for the people of Indonesia who are picking up the pieces after an earthquake. What can I do for a few local families who are going through an ugly tragedy? My heart it seems is heavy So I came here seeking solace, wisdom and an understanding love from my Creator. Seeking God is the only answer. I invite you to do the same .

Ugh....... it's message writing time, the coffee is not working and all I've got written so far is " It was a dark and stormy night " ( thank you Snoopy) it's a good thing that Irene keeps the candy Bowl stocked! Reese's to the rescue 😋

Hi everyone, just had a thought, ya ever notice that some of the best things in life we can encounter are free, like this view for instance. The land isn't mine, the beans aren't mine, yet the beauty of God's creation is free for me to enjoy. Hmmm, kind of like the free gift of God's salvation. Though we didn't earn it or deserve it, it's ours for the taking, all for just accepting, seeing and believing.
