Since the end of January, we have been prayerfully considering how the coronavirus situation in Asia affects our upcoming SENT trip to Taiwan. When the trip was planned last spring, there was of course no indication of the coronavirus. When the news first began to break of the situation in China, we began monitoring the news and kept in contact with Bro. Cody Randall, our host missionary.
Although the CDC is currently not advising people to change their travel plans to Taiwan, and the few cases in Taiwan are being expertly handled by their health care system, the leadership of FGBI, the SENT Missions program, and Bro. Cody Randall have agreed that it is best to postpone the trip. Our first priority is our student’s safety and health.
We have decided to postpone the SENT trip until May 13th-May 26th and are continuing to monitor the situation. Although we desired to go as soon as possible, we believe God has a purpose in delaying the trip and we are continuing to believe God will do great things in Taiwan! Please keep the group in your prayers.
