Salem Christian Union Church (SCU) was the first church established in Clay County. The Church was established in the mid-1800’s
during the civil war. Salem Christian Union is part of the Christian Union
organization of Churches. The Christian Union includes congregations
six midwestern states. The Sunday morning worship service is
informal however traditional in style.
