Statement of Sincerely Held Beliefs/Articles of Faith


1.

We believe that spirit takes the form of including, but not limited to, all genders, races, single and multiple deities.

2. We Believe that Spirit is manifested by and to each individual in the form(s) that Spirit sees fit.

3. We believe in honoring our ancestors (blood relatives, friends, any who we may be associated with that have passed on) as they love, honor and protect us in return.

4. We

believe that not only are we all connected to each other and all living beings on earth, we are also connected to all of those who have come before us and passed over to the other side.

5. We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand and, of their own free will, become members of Our Ancestors Church and Coven.

6. We believe in the spiritual resurrection of and communications with the dead, the everlasting blessedness of our ancestors, and that we are stewards of this planet and all its living beings.

7. We believe that divination is one of the most important ways to connect with spirit, and is an integral part of our faith. We believe that it must be used before proceeding and in matters of our faith, including, but not limited to, spiritual counseling, pre-wedding consultation, and decisions made to do spiritual work (or not) for church members. We believe that the decision regarding whether or not to ask for a donation for divination services and the amount of donation asked for is solely at the discretion of the individual minister performing the service.

8. We believe that western and alternative medical care, healthy food, and safe indoor living spaces are basic human rights, not privileges.

9. We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization.

“Establishing a floor on the LIHTC 4 percent credit will encourage investment in affordable housing during economic downturns and increase production by making more developments financially feasible,” Jolie Milstein, president and CEO of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing, said in a statement. “In the coming months, we need every level of government to build upon this positive step and enact smart policies that stimulate the long-term production of affordable housing and keep struggling renters in their homes right now.”

Congress has reached a deal to set a 4 percent floor rate for Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, which finance affordable housing.
