Good evening, Upward families,
I am closely monitoring the weather and will notify everyone as soon as possible if games need to be canceled. A final decision will likely be made tomorrow morning based on current conditions and updated forecasts.
I also wanted to share a few important reminders:
Sliding / Slide Tackling
Sliding or slide tackling is not permitted under any circumstances. This includes sliding to gain possession of the ball, attempting to take out another player, or intentional sliding of any kind. Referees will continue to enforce this rule during games.
First offense: warning issued
Continued behavior: player will sit out the remainder of the period
Repeated behavior after returning: player will sit out the remainder of the game
This rule is strictly enforced to ensure the safety of all players.
Sportsmanship Expectations
Please ensure that all comments related to games, players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and the Upward program remain positive and respectful.
If you have concerns regarding any aspect of the league—whether it involves a player, coach, referee, or another family—please bring them directly to me so they can be addressed appropriately. Negative or disrespectful comments will not be tolerated. Our goal is to maintain a supportive environment where all participants feel safe and encouraged.
