Godly Play is a Montessori-inspired approach to Sunday School. A careful telling of scripture stories and engaging, hands-on materials encourage children to seek and find their own answers to their faith questions. Every aspect of Godly Play is designed to fan the flame on children's natural wonder about God by helping them develop the Christian language around our faith, Bible stories, and spirit
ual practices such as communion and the liturgical year. Godly Play is designed for children 3 years old through adolescence. Because the curriculum is simply a telling and retelling of Bible stories paired with deep wondering and personal response, it can also be a meaningful experience in adult settings. This August we will begin with two children's classes for ages 3-9. Children 10 and up will be experimenting with the process in their own class. Ideally a group of adults will also be inspired to form a class that will join the journey.
