In March, we had the pleasure of a visit from the Reyes family. During their time here, they spoke at Christian Fellowship Church and Family Bible Church to share an update on the work they are doing in the Berlin Colony. Their reports at the time of the visit just confirmed what we know about the effectiveness of church initiated Christian community. This philosophy of ministry works to create an international community of brotherhood with a heart to see Christ glorified.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ please pray with us as our Dear ones in Bolivia and India face catastrophic natural disasters. Bolivia is in the throes of uncontrolled wildfires. They are consuming thousands of acres of bush country where there are many of the indigenous communities and farms. Some of these are in our ministry area. The active fire is just over an hour from our farm to the east. It is burning in the area of the farm and homes of several old friends. Please pray for God’s mercy to intervene with beneficial rains and redirection of winds away from populated areas.
In India flooding is entering the town where our children’s feeding center is. It is inundating villages where the evangelism team has been ministering. Please pray for protection for human life in this area as well.

These men standing behind our team are part of the Pastor/Elder team committed to reaching the Berlin Colony of the Santa Cruz Department (Bolivia) for Christ. They shared with us their joys, struggles, and vision for this region and how they are committed to taking the gospel to each family. Currently there are five churches part of the group. Their passion, unity, and commitment was encouraging to us and is a witness for us to emulate in our faith!

Good to be with friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. It is a blessing to see the communities formed by the love of Jesus and the fellowship of the Spirit be united in the mission of the gospel.

In our family swaddled babies get lots of attention. Our little David Fox Jr. is just the newest. Uncles cousins and doting assorted related folks love approaching the season of Christ’s birth with the hope of new life that comes when we walk away from our dependence on our sin nature and embrace a dependence on the gift of our Savior’s sacrifice. We must always know it is not just that Jesus came as a baby but that He came to die a sacrificial death in your place. There is so much more to this truth. If it makes no sense to you, but you would like to find out more, talk to a Pastor of your closest Christian church, a friend who lives out.a Life of Christian rebirth or a community Christian outreach ministry.

When Hobo Dave Brown told Andy he should just let Opie "decide for himself" how he wanted to live… Andy had these words of wisdom.

"No, I'm afraid it don't work that way. You can't let a young’n decide for himself. He'll grab at the first flashy thing with shiny ribbons on it. Then, when he finds out there's a hook in it, it's too late. Wrong ideas come packaged with so much glitter that it's hard to convince ‘em that other things might be better in the long run. All a parent can do is say 'wait' and 'trust me' and try to keep temptation away."

Somehow... we have lost this basic truth.

GATHER , whether in community development or church community service, is touching the lives of generations from the elderly, to new families, and to youth. Hearing the discouraged and broken hearted, teaching another generation to filter their water, affirming the desire for covenant marriage, reinforcing the seekers of the truth of God’s word, our ministry teams are committed to see The Kingdom flourish. Providing village churches with training, support and brotherhood and giving the communities the strength of Christ centered leaders GATHER trained ministry teams are in place to encourage and support the local church.

Our partners in India, Faith Ministries, is now completely able to use the new building God provided through our support partners and His affirming guidance. Orphans, children of parents widowed by COVID and street children are benefiting from the feeding program, Bible teaching and school support every day. We thank God for His intervention in opening His store house of funds to make this real. We thank the Rambabu family for their faithful ministry to these precious children and for their outreach to the Hindu tribal mountain villages.

GATHER has been working to advocate for Christian weddings supported by communities of faith. We believe that God’s design for the family is a mom and dad married in Christian covenant and surrounded by The Church. In many cultures couples don’t commit to formal marriages. Our teams of church builders provide for counseling, mentorship and wedding preparation. Pastor Ruben officiated and the community provided for the wedding feast. This sweet couple finally can say they have realized a dream come true. God’s blessing and thank you team for your faithful ministry of love.
