We can't thank the Hutchinson's enough for hosting our 3rd annual Master Clubs Bonfire!! Our clubbers got to enjoy a ride in a wagon pulled by two beautiful Belgian horses named John & Bill. We had a scavenger hunt, stick horse races and a cowboy boot relay! Bro. Rob and Bro. Michael faced off with a game of Egg Roulette where 6 out of 12 eggs are hard boiled but you can't tell the difference. Bro. Micheal was the victor over Bro. Rob with a 2 - 4 victory! Bro. Rob ended up smashing 4 raw eggs on his head! LOL He was a good sport and even suffered a few minor flesh wounds on his head from the egg shells. Our devotion tonight was a neat example of how a pumpkin is gross and slimy on the inside before you can carve it and put a light inside. So are we. Bro. Rob took us from a pumpkin seed to a vine (John 15:1) and then from a vine to a pumpkin. We learned that God's word is like a twoedged sword (Hebrews 4:12) that can cut into us and convict us of our sin. We use a knife to cut into a pumpkin so that we can open it up and scoop out all the yucky stuff inside. Once we're saved and opened up to God's word we're clean and our sins are forgiven! Then something AMAZING happens, Jesus shines in us. All we have to do is: " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 Each clubber got to scoop out the YUCK inside the pumpkin. They LOVED it ans we ended our evening with S'mores. THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARENTS, WORKERS AND TEENS WHO CAME OUT TO HELP!
