Last night at church, we covered chapter 3 of "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge. (So Good)
We talked about the internal dialog men have within themselves, real or imagined, how men perceive others see them, lies they have believed about themselves from others throughout their life times whether friends or family, fear of failure and who do they think they are. Tough questions...but as spiritual sisters of these men in our lives, we want them made well and whole. We care about them. We see them.
After some discussion we covered 3 questions that all men should ask themselves....
Who/how do I think others see me
How do I think I see myself and finally, How do I believe God sees me.
What Father God sees and what He thinks about you is the most important thing in this world and throughout eternity. God tells the Truth and will not lie to you. Jesus was not a pushover. He took on all issues that came before Him and He did it with Love and Truth. He was never mean or hateful and He did not go down rabbit trails. He said He spoke what The Father said and did what The Father did. He is all our example.
Next week is chapter 4 and Brother Kevin will be teaching.
Have a blessed week.

Last night's service we started the book called, "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge with chapter 1. We watched the video and then went over some questions and had discussion.
Some of the points that were made were :
1. Adam was made out of the dust of the earth while Eve was made in the lush garden. He is rugged and squeezed together while Eve was hand-crafted. They are different and that's ok.
2. Man is the warrior after God's Heart. Men like movies that have battles, blood and blow things up. That's the way they are made. Little boys play war and make weapons to fight with. Little girls don't. They have baby dolls to care for and toy kitchens to play in. (And that's not to say EVERYONE fits the mold, there are variations) Amazon women are just as beautiful as other women and kind men can be warriors too.
3. Men needs a battle to fight, an adventure to participate in and a beauty to save.
4. Accept the way God made you and stop listening to the world when they try to tell you who we are. Listen to what God says about you!
5. The Church has let men down by trying to make them nice, obedient church members and not teach them how God sees them.
6. Every man's heart can be re-awakened and he can live his best life!
Next Wednesday we are going to study chapter 2 and 3.
Stay blessed
