JOIN THE DIOCESAN CHOIR FOR THE 2026 CHRISM MASS

Please join the Diocesan Choir for the Chrism Mass on Tuesday, March 31 at 5:30 pm (Evansville Time) at St. Benedict Cathedral. The Choir is open to singers from all the parishes of Diocese of Evansville. This is a great opportunity to come together and share in musical prayer. Members are typically in 8th grade and older. While reading music and attending all the practices are recommended, it isn't a requirement!

Practices are held in the Cathedral Church (please enter on the East side of the Cathedral (Parish Center / Handicap-Ramp Side).
Sunday, March 22 2pm to 4pm (CST)
Tuesday, March 24 6 pm -7:30 pm (CST)
Sunday, March 29 2pm - 4pm (CST)

You've been patiently waiting for this announcement... :-)

Saint Benedict Cathedral & School Parish Choir begins rehearsals on a NEW NIGHT (for the first month only).

First Practice is *** WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2*** at 7pm in the Cathedral Church (enter on the east side / handicap ramp entrance).

Choir is open to anyone in 8th grade or older. Reading music is helpful, but NOT required. The choir practices every week and sings every other week at the Sunday, 10:30 Mass (and for special feasts / Holy Days throughout the year).

Choral Evensong on Saturday, June 15 at 7:00 pm.

Join us for services of glorious music, contemplative readings, and uplifting hymns.

*** WE NEED SOME HELP FOR THE NEW PIPE ORGAN - MONDAY, JUNE 10 - 8AM **

The front organ at Saint Benedict Cathedral & School is scheduled to begin on MONDAY, JUNE 10. We need 6-10 folks to help unload the truck and move pipes and equipment around.

MONDAY, JUNE 10
ARRIVE: 8am (done around lunch time)
Cathedral will provide drinks and a pizza lunch.

We need some strong folks to help in various ways. Able to help? Please RSVP to me via email [email protected] or text at (812) 589-3886.
