It strives to serve the needs of Hispanic and Latin American students, pastors, and churches. The office provides services to churches throughout the North Central Jurisdiction by recruiting students for ord

For this eighteenth HSP Exchange, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Yara González-Justiniano, Assistant Professor of Religion, Culture, and Psychology with emphasis in Latinx Studies at Vanderbilt University. She is also an affiliated faculty of the Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies. Her most recent publication, Centering Hope as a Sustainable Decolonial Practice: Esperanza en Práctica (2022), wrestles with answering the question of what does hope look like in the midst of socioeconomic crisis.

Grant Opportunity for Latinx Pastors and Congregational Leaders!

Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary is offering the following two grants:

Latinx Church Leadership Renewal Grants in the amount of $3,500 for one year. Grants are to fund leadership education, retreat, renewal or development of a ministry team, not for ongoing operational or personnel expenses. The idea is to provide support for a group of people in leadership within one congregation. The group will design their own opportunities as appropriate to their context.

College of Pastoral Leaders grants in the amount of $10,000 for two years. (Not limited to Latinx pastors.) Groups of four to six clergy from different congregations may apply.
