The Knights of Columbus Council 1077 from Evanston dropped off one of the checks from our 2025 intellectual disability (ID) drive fundraiser to one of our partner organizations, Misericordia,  who was very appreciative. Thanks to all of the supporters who donated to our annual intellectual disability drive in 2025. We will post more pictures soon as we distribute more of the checks to the other partner organizations. St. John XXIII Parish Evanston

Fish fry tonight at Saint Nicholas Church 806 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL 60202. The fish fry is in the back of the church in the social hall right next to the parking lot. Can’t miss it 6 PM to 8 PM. Come one, come all.

An interesting article from the Chicago Catholic newspaper about the beginnings of the Knights of Columbus tootsie roll intellectual disability drive, which started in 1970, thanks to all of our neighbors in Evanston area for helping make our annual tootsie roll fundraiser a success

Each September, Knights of Columbus fan out across the Chicago area wearing yellow safety vests and armed with buckets and Tootsie Rolls for the annual candy drive benefiting people with intellectual disabilities.

Hello Facebook, friends and family: every year we raise money for local Intellectual Disability (ID) groups with Knights of Columbus through the sale of Tootsie rolls. With only 10 days to go until Halloween, please consider ordering a bag (or 2!) of 50 large tootsie rolls from our fundraiser for your Halloween/snack needs. I can deliver to you within 5 miles of Evanston or you are welcome to come pick them up from my porch. We also have the small banks of 25 mini fruit favored tootsies for $6 each. Thanks to you we raise thousands every year for ID

Hey Facebook friends, the Evanston Knights of Columbus are collecting online donations for our annual Intellectual Disability (ID) fundraiser, we collect money  each year to support local ID charities including Park school for special needs in Evanston, Misericordia,, Special Olympics, and the special education programs at Saint John the 23rd parish.  we offer tootsie rolls as incentives to anyone who wants to donate, if you are local in the Evanston area I am happy to deliver tootsie rolls to your house or you can pick them up at my house or at Animal Records store,  we have small cylinder fruit flavored Tootsie Roll banks for five dollars each, large bags with 50 tootsie rolls perfect for Halloween candy for $15 each or you can just make a donation  without receiving tootsie rolls if you don’t want them or are not in the Evanston local area.  please use the following link or if you are local and prefer, you can also just leave me cash or check made out to Knights of Columbus Evanston when you drop by, comment or message me on Facebook to arrange a drop off or pick up, God bless and thanks for your support every year.

We donate all funds received to locals charities

Hello Chicago area Facebook friends, hospitals are always in need of blood donations, but especially after the hurricane that hit the southeast United States the need is even more dire now.  the Knights of Columbus are hosting a blood drive at St Nicholas Church 806 Ridge Ave Evanston IL 60201 this Sunday from 9:30-2:30pm and there are still plenty of timeslots available to make donations. Today Bothers Drew and Greg distributed the last two checks from our 2023 intellectual disability fundraiser, first, we visited Anne and Julie from Misericordia, home in Chicago and then over to the Park School special education program with district 65 Evanston, where we met up with the principal Jill, and fellow brother Knight Dan Mcandrew who taught there for many years as well as some of the amazing students. Now the countdown begins until September when we start our 2024 intellectual disability fundraiser, stay tuned and thanks again  to all who contributed!

The Knights of Columbus Council #1077 presented the 2023 intellectual disability fundraiser check to the St John XXIII SPRED group to help them continue their good works. Thanks for all of those who donated during our Tootsie roll distribution last fall. We will start again this September for the 2024 ID fundraiser drive, thanks in advance for your continued support.
