Details

Meetings for Learning are offered on the first and fourth Sundays from 11:30 to 12:30 in the Meeting Room after worship, announcements, and refreshments. Recent topics have included conflict resolution, the relationship between science and faith, healing in the Christian tradition, John Woolman, Friends sharing their spiritual journeys, speaking truth to political power, peace work and medical volunteering, autumn reflections, nutrition, songs of inspiration, and further explorations of our Quaker faith and practice. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, a fun, inter-generational, all-meeting activity is planned. Whether you are a visitor, newcomer, member, or longtime attender, you are welcome to join us. Simple Meal occurs on the fourth Sunday of each month following Meeting for Learning. We share a simple meal such as bread and soup and donate what we might spend to eat in a restaurant. Proceeds benefit Right Sharing of World Resources, a Quaker micro-credit organization that supports grassroots, women-led, income-generating projects in developing countries.
