Due to current capacity restrictions, Hilliard Ward is unable to welcome visitors at this time. Also, there will not be an additional visitors sacrament meeting during holiday weekends as in past summers. This may change if restrictions are lifted, so check this page for updates.

Hello Everyone! Just letting you know that we WILL be having Pumpkin Sunday! The pumpkins and squash will be outside, in the parking lot after church on the 18th of October until noon. This gives us time to get home for our Zoom meetings at 12:30 p.m.

If we were to go back to church for Sacrament, are there any of you that would choose not to go back yet? Trying to divide up those who WOULD go back into numbers keeping with the CDC requirements.

Dear Ward Members:
I hope you are all doing well. I received word from President Cluny this week. None of the current pandemic restrictions we are under will be modified or lifted until Governor Gordon loosens the current state restrictions. Fortunately, for our ward, we have a busy week of lessons and activities to compensate for the lack of church meetings.
Before we dive into our busy week, I need to thank Jim and Bonnale Lym for cleaning the chairs at the church this week. If you identified your favorite seats by the stains, you are in trouble. You will need to find a new way to identify your family's seats. Maybe, we will need to call a ward seater when we return to church. On the bright side, the seats are a blank canvas now. This is a great opportunity for our ward to create new stains. Prepare the primary now with crayons, markers, sugary cereals (I like Lucky Charms) and unknown liquids for when we return to church.
President Cluny asked us to hold a fireside addressing the New Proclamation to the World: “The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” The fireside will be June 7, 2020, at 6:00 PM. The Cleggs will be speaking at the fireside and we will have a special surprise from the youth. Here is the Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/7483016854. Meeting ID: 748 301 6854.
Blake Overy returned from his mission in Edmonton, Alberta. He will be sharing some of his experiences with the youth on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. All ward members are invited to attend. Time: Jun 3, 2020, 07:00 PM Mountain Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/9241794145. Meeting ID: 924 179 4145.
Jenny Saxton has also planned a ward activity for this Tuesday at 7:00 PM. It will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with ward members. We hope to have every member of the ward participate. The Zoom link is https://zoom.us/j/2252427925. the Meeting ID is: 225-242-7925. Here is the invitation Jenny prepared:

Dear ward members:

As most of you are already aware, all public gatherings of church members are being temporarily suspended worldwide until further notice. This includes our weekly sacrament meetings and other activities. President Cluny will be issuing a statement addressing the administering of the sacrament during this suspension. Until then, please refrain from administering the sacrament on your own without the approval of proper priesthood authority.

During the suspension, I will continue to conduct interviews and meet with individual members of the ward as needed. Please contact me directly if you or another member of the ward has an individual need.

I anticipate we will receive guidance on how to continue to strengthen and edify each other as a ward during this suspension from the First Presidency. Until we receive that guidance, we will be exploring different methods to substitute regular meetings and physical interaction. This may include video or telephonic conferencing between quorums and classes. If any of you have ideas or suggestions on how we can edify and strengthen each other during this suspension, please let me know. I encourage each of us as ward members to continue ministering to each other even if that ministering is in the form of electronic communication.

I pray for each and every one of you as we face the challenges of a worldwide pandemic. I take comfort in knowing we are guided by a prophet of God during these troubling times. Please let me know if there is anything more I can do to help the members of our ward or community.

If you have any questions related to this email or the Church's current position with respect to the pandemic, please do not hesitate to contact me via my cell phone, (307) 679-7994, or email address, [email protected].

Sincerely,

Bishop Phillips

Hey, Hey, Hey!!!!!!! The Ward party scheduled for Saturday, September 28th was supposed to be at 4:00p.m. at the Saxton ranch. Of course since we planned an outdoor activity, it’s going to be cold and raining! The new plan is 6:00 at the church!!!!

Greetings Hilliard Ward! (Yes, I am shouting! It is the reason I am using exclamation points!)

Tomorrow is our annual Halloween Extravaganza. It starts at 6:00 p.m. with the trunk or treat. No one will be giving out trunks, just candy, but no candy corn because that stuff is seriously disgusting. At about 6:30 p.m., we will begin the carnival portion of our evening. Games, sponges to the face, cake walks, non-cake walks, half cake walks, more games, fishing for cool stuff and much more! (I'm yelling again! I'm very excited!). We will have corn dogs, funnel cake, raw meat and candy. You will go home happy and sick.

Update: There will be no raw meat. I got a little bit carried away with the whole Halloween theme.

I hope to see the entire Ward there tomorrow night in costume.
