On Sunday, November 3, All Saints Day, local multi instrumental talent Seabury Gould brought his guitar, his bamboo flute, and his beautiful voice to Immanuel Lutheran Church and shared his gifts with our congregation. We all joined him in singing the postlude after the service and it was a special treat for all.

On Sunday, July 21, the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, the Ponies of Harmony brought their beautiful voices and talents once again to our congregation at Sunday services at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Take a pause in your day and listen to the Ponies as they perform two songs during the service postlude last Sunday.

On Sunday, May 5, the Sixth Sunday of Easter, local musical artist, singer-songwriter, guitarist and flautist Seabury Gould joined our congregation to lift us higher in praise of God in our Sunday service.

Thank you, Seabury, for sharing your beautiful voice and music with us, and thanks, again, to our Music Director Elizabeth Rau for all her good work bringing such fine local artists to our congregation. It’s always a joy to have such talented people with us.

On Sunday, March 17, the Fifth Sunday in Lent, Lonni Magellan returned to Immanuel Lutheran Church and played lovely harp music for the congregation.

This beautiful balad, “An cluin thu mi mo nighean donn” is from Irish composer Iain Frazier, and Lonni selected piece this for our service postlude in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Following are the lyrics to this sweet traditional Irish song of unrequited love. Thank you, Lonni.

Will you listen to me, my brown-haired girl
Listen, and pay attention to me
There are many people of this opinion
That you are too young a love for me

And although my hair is gray
Don't let this distress you
I am not old in years
And I long to be with you

Over wide oceans I will sail
And I will take home riches to you
And you would be happy with me
For the rest of your life, if you're willing

Now I will stop sailing
I will stay with you on dry land
For as far as I know
Your ways are beautiful to me

On the Third Sunday of Lent, March 3, Jeffrey Smoller, one of our favorite guest artists, returned to our sanctuary to bring his stylistic renditions of musical classics for our joy and for the glory of God.

Here, Jeffrey delights us in his postlude performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” a beautiful reminder to us all that, halfway through the Lenten Season, we are waiting and praying in anticipation for the most glorious and hopeful event in the Liturgical Calendar, The Resurrection of our Lord.

“Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dream that you dare to dream”

On Sunday, February 18, the First Sunday in Lent, The Ponies of Harmony - Katie Belknap and James Zeller - brought their lovely voices and music to the sanctuary of Immanuel Lutheran Church once again in praise of our Lord.

We are always pleased and delighted with their wonderful original compositions, and welcome them to our service every first and third Sunday of each month.

We’ll see (and hear) you next time, Ponies!
