God has shown you what is good, and what God requires of you:
to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God. --Micah 6:8
Prelude
Welcome
Introit: GtG #338
Call to Worship – Adapted from Psalm 116: 1-2, 12-19
I love the Lord,
the Lord has heard the voice of my supplication
and inclined an ear to me whenever I cried out.
How shall I repay you, O Lord,
for all the good things you have done for me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call upon the Holy Name.
I will fulfill my vows to God
in the presence of all the members of
the household of God.
Precious in your sight, God of Life,
are your servants.
Merciful God, I am your servant;
in the honor of my mother and father I serve you.
I will offer you the sacrifice of thanksgiving
and call upon the Holy Name.
In the presence of all the people;
in holy places of peace,
and in times of hardship
I will live according to my promises.
Hallelujah!
Let us pray:
God our Redeemer,
you have delivered us from death in the resurrection of Jesus Christ
and brought us to new life by the power of your Spirit.
Give us grace to keep our promises
to praise and serve you all our days;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I Could Sing of Your Love Forever
(w/Psalm 138)
Words/Music: Martin Smith (w/GtG #334)
Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let the Healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing
Of when Your love came down yeah
Chorus:
I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever
O Lord, enthroned in glory bright,
You reign alone in heavenly height;
The proud in vain your favor seek,
But you have mercy for the meek.
Through trouble though my pathway be,
You will revive and strengthen me,
For I will always sing
Of when Your love came down yeah
Oh I feel like dancing
It's foolishness I know
But when the world has seen the light
They will dance with joy like we're dancing now
(Chorus)
How Great Is Our God
(Come Christians Join to Sing)
Words/Music by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves, Ed Cash and Stuart K. Hine
The splendor of the King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
And trembles at His voice
Chorus:
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great,
How great is our God
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the End
Beginning and the End
The Godhead three in one
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
(Chorus)
Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
(Repeat)
Come, Christians, join to sing,
loud praise to Christ our King.
Let all with heart and voice
before the throne rejoice;
come, lift your hearts on high;
let praises fill the sky;
God’s goodness we adore,
and sing forever more.
(Chorus)
Children’s Message

Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, CH #575, v. 1
Words: Elisha A. Hoffman
Music: Anthony J. Showalter
Worship Team
What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
leaning on the everlasting arms,
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
safe and secure from all alarms;
leaning, leaning,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
Prayer for Illumination
Scripture: Matthew 10:5-23
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not take a road leading to gentiles, and do not enter a Samaritan town, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, proclaim the good news, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Cure the sick; raise the dead; cleanse those with a skin disease; cast out demons. You received without payment; give without payment. Take no gold, or silver, or copper in your belts, no bag for your journey, or two tunics, or sandals, or a staff, for laborers deserve their food. Whatever town or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you leave. As you enter the house, greet it. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town. Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of S***m and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
“I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of them, for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony to them and the gentiles. When they hand you over, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you at that time, for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Sibling will betray sibling to death and a father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in this town, flee to the next, for truly I tell you, you will not have finished going through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Sermon: “More than a flavor”
Offertory Hymn:
O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing, CH #21
Words: Charles Wesley
Music: Carl G. Glazer; arr. by Lowell Mason
O for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer’s praise,
the glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of His grace.
Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
that bids our sorrows cease,
‘tis music in the sinner’s ears,
‘tis life and health and peace.
He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean;
His blood availed for me.
Hear Him, ye deaf;
His praise, ye dumb,
your loosened tongues employ;
ye blind behold your Savior come;
and leap, ye lame for joy.
My gracious Master and my God,
assist me to proclaim,
to spread thro’ all the earth abroad,
the honors of Thy name.
Offertory Response:

Prayer of Intercession [Offer your Prayers in the comments, with those whom you are gathered, in person or online]
The Lord’s Prayer (Ecumenical)
English Language Liturgical Council – 1988
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory
are yours now and forever. Amen.
Closing Hymn:
We Are Called to Be God’s People, CH #415
Words: Thomas A. Jackson
Tune: Austrian Hymn
We are called to be God’s people,
showing by our lives His grace,
one in heart and one in spirit,
sign of hope for all the race.
Let us show how He has changed us
and remade us as His own;
let us share our life together
as we shall around His throne.
We are called to be God’s servants,
working in His world today;
taking His own task upon us,
all His sacred words obey.
Let us rise then, to His summons,
dedicate to Him our all,
that we may be faithful servants,
quick to answer now His call.
We are called to be God’s prophets,
speaking for the truth and right;
standing firm for godly justice,
bringing evil into light.
Let us seek the courage needed,
pour high calling to fulfill,
that we all may know the blessing
of the doing of God’s will.
Benediction
