Dear Eupora Methodist Church Family,

Some of our members have received phone calls saying they are with Webster County Sherrif Department.

They have been saying something to the effect of, “you are being arrested for not coming to federal jury duty,” with a request of a large amount of money to not be arrested. They will say a random judge’s name and rudely tell you that you have to pay.

Friends, this is a SCAM. These individuals use AI to cloak their voice to sound American and scare people into paying money to them. Please be aware of these fake calls. And remember if you ever get a call like that and answer, just hang up. After that BLOCK them and REPORT them.

On this Memorial Day, we come together to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Our hearts are with their families, who continue to carry their legacy. We reflect on their incredible courage and the profound sacrifices they made, reminding ourselves never to take for granted the precious freedoms they fought to protect.

Hey Y'all Laura here! VBS is a week and a few days way! So exciting!
We will be having work days for decorating all next week Tuesday through Friday 1-4! If you can pop in for a little bit it would be such a big help! There is a job for everyone! If there is another time that works better for you let me know and I would love to work out a time for you to come in!
