A Prophetic Rebuke and Correction to the Nigerian and West African Church 07.24.2024
Dangote Refinery: A Call to Spiritual Responsibility and Economic Stewardship
Three weeks ago, the Lord began to speak to my heart, urging me to deliver a message to His people in West Africa, and more specifically, Nigeria. This revelation came before I attended the Iron Sharpens Iron conference 2024 in Loganville, Georgia. I apologize for the delay in sharing this urgent word.
Jeremiah 29:7 declares: "And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare."
Church, hear the word of the Lord. You have been called to pray for the land, to seek its peace and prosperity, for in its welfare, you will find your own. Yet, many of you have grown weary and have ceased to intercede for the healing and restoration of Nigeria. Understand this: the economic well-being of Nigeria directly impacts all believers in the land. You cannot afford to be myopic, thinking this is solely about Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
A Call to Broaden Your Vision
You have prayed, but for some reason, many have stopped. God is sovereignly using the Dangote Refinery as a catalyst for Nigeria's and West Africa's economic revival. Do not be short-sighted, thinking you need to be richer than Dangote to be great. Do not be narrow-minded, believing that the richest man in the land must be a Christian. God is not limited by human labels or affiliations; He uses whom He wills to accomplish His purposes.
A Rebuke to the Church
Church, you have allowed yourselves to be distracted by petty internal conflicts, losing sight of the greater work the Father has been orchestrating through you over the years. It is time to recover your focus. Leaders of thought and prayer in the Body of Christ in West Africa, it is your responsibility to channel prayer support for the complete utilization of the refinery to benefit Nigeria and West Africa. Break the remaining hold of unseen opposition to this economic trigger for West Africa. The power to pray through the refinery to full operation and functionality, despite internal and external oppositions, lies in your hands.
God's Sovereignty and Your Responsibility
God, in His sovereignty, is not limited to using Christians to bring about His blessings and revival in Africa. He can and will use anyone He chooses. But you, Church, have a role to play. You have prayed, and you must continue to pray. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
A Call to Action
1. Renew Your Commitment to Prayer: Reignite your passion for intercession. Pray for the land, for its leaders, and for its economic projects, including the Dangote Refinery.
2. Seek Unity: Lay aside petty differences and internal conflicts. Unite in purpose and vision for the greater good of the nation and the continent.
3. Support Economic Initiatives: Understand that the prosperity of the land impacts your welfare. Support initiatives that promote economic growth and stability.
4. Trust in God's Sovereignty: Recognize that God can use anyone to fulfill His purposes. Do not limit your prayers or your support based on human affiliations.
Church, the time is now. Rise up, take your place, and fulfill your God-given mandate. Pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria and West Africa, for in its welfare, you will find your own. The Lord is calling you to a higher level of responsibility and stewardship. Will you heed His call?
Thus says the Lord. Amen.
Your Servant, Prophet Daniel de Eagle π¦
