Let me first say, I am so grateful that God is blessing me with boldness to share and speak, and also, (evidently) a light that leads others to question me. I am but a saved sinner pursuing Christ and
Hebrewsβ¬ β12:1β¬ βNIVβ¬β¬
[1] "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,"
Someone once asked me "How do you know when God (The Holy Spirit) speaks to you?"
My answer is varied, by my experiences, and the words He provides.
1) sometimes a voice so small, like a soft breeze whispering through the trees
2) sometimes an audible voice, like an earthly father standing beside me, guiding my heart and thoughts, answering a concern or direct question
3) sometimes a sign such a sunrise/sunset, lightening/rain/thunder, or something in nature - reminding me He is in control of everything
4) sometimes a feeling, of being held, His comforting hugs to calm the fears/storms in His child, or to simply let me know I am His.
5) through Bible reading and prayer, daily giving me understanding and wisdom of what was, what is, and what's to come.
6) by the Joy in my heart and soul, regardless of the situations, bad or good
He speaks in so many ways!
Another question then arises; "How do you know it is the Spirit of God speaking?"
ββ1 Johnβ¬ β4:3 βNIVβ¬β¬
[1] "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
[2] This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
[3] but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."
Beware of ANYTHING that does not align with scripture.
Which leads to a final question. "How do you know if it is scriptural or not?"
