Hey there friends! I’m so sorry, for some reason my phone will not upload the videos for the Recovering Redemption Bible study. (It May have something to do with me updating it OR the fact that I dropped my phone the other day and the screen cracked badly😬). Whatever the reason I have decided to just do a quick takeaway or update each week. Luckily we only have two weeks left! I’m not the best at long posts so I’ll keep it short and sweet! Genesis 2:18-24

I love how Matt Chandler talks about how we fall short of our own self ideals, our own self image.

We live in a low grade level of shame when we fall short of this image. I feel that on myself all the time. I believe myself to be a strong independent woman who can do anything I set my mind to. Being a mom and having to juggle my responsibilities, I fall short of that self ideal often.

I love that Jesus never has those expectations of me and that He chases after me when I feel too much shame for falling short.

What are some of your self ideals that you struggle with? How do you come back to the realization that Jesus says He loves you no matter what?
