Today, we take a moment to honor and give thanks for all the hard work, dedication, and heart you put into your everyday lives. Whether in offices, schools, homes, factories, or anywhere in between.

As we rest and enjoy time with family and friends today, we are reminded of Jesus’ inviting words:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28

May God bless the work of your hands and give you true, deep rest today and throughout the week ahead.

Join us in prayer for those impacted by devastating flash flooding along the border of Nepal and Tibet today. We pray especially for the families and loved ones of those who have died or remain missing, and for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.

As first responders assist survivors and search for the missing, UMCOR stands ready to support the response efforts of United Mission Nepal and other partners in the region.

Please join us in prayer for the people of Hawaii as they experience damaging winds, storm surge and flash flooding from Tropical Storm Lala. Previously a category 1 hurricane, Lala has damaged at least 100 homes and left more than 200,000 residents without power as it continues to bring heavy rain and wind across the islands today.

As the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church assesses the needs of Hawaiians impacted by Lala, UMCOR stands ready to support their relief and recovery efforts.

Join us in prayer for those impacted by historic levels of flash flooding and severe storms across multiple states in the Midwest United States this week, including Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, and Ohio. Widespread evacuations, damage to homes and businesses, and multiple deaths have been reported, with several areas still under flood watch today.

UMCOR is in close communication with the affected annual conferences, and we stand ready to support their response efforts as they care for their communities in need.
