**Long Post**
I was in my 30s, married with two small children when God called. I was working in recruitment/staffing in Corporate America and wondered how God would use me in this setting.
Since the call I have worked in the marketplace, and honestly it has been a challenge because my heart's desire is to tell people about Jesus, help them develop a relationship with God, teach and write.
I knew how to do the above in a church setting, but finding opportunities to discuss spiritual wellness in the workplace is different.
I feel like I have the solution to problems that many are hesitant to discuss in businesses and organizations because faith, spiritual wellness, and resilience are topics that aren't discussed much on a large scale.
But God!
God is creating opportunities in the marketplace for not only our light to shine, but for people to have needed and necessary conversations about their faith, resilience, healing, and forgiveness.
Employees are tired before they get to work dealing with stressors at home, and in their past. And because of this, people wear masks, or "put on makeup" just to get through workday.
We work at our jobs 8 hours a day, so anything that is not well in our lives rears its head in many forms in the workplace.
It goes back to what I always say - if your spirit man is in upheaval or misaligned, then your personal and professional life is impacted too. Everything else is out of order. But when you take care of the spirit, everything else will fall in place!
I would love to start the conversation or join you at your next company retreat to discuss having spiritual wellness in everyday life.
