There aren’t many places in our culture that creates space to talk about the big ideas of life and living. Alpha is one of those places. There’s no pressure, no commitment to come back, and no cost. If you can join us in person, you’re going to love the food! If you can’t join us in person, you can join us online! Basically we just really want you to know there’s a seat at the table for you!

My new favorite place to write sermons is this little, unknown coffee shop in West Leb 😉. It’s a rare day that I don’t meet someone and have a good conversation. Today, a lady sat at a table near me and opened her Bible. I couldn’t help myself so I just leaned over and said, “Good book.” She said with a smile, “It’s the best book.” As she was leaving a little while later, she asked for prayer so, right in the middle of Starbucks, we prayed together. And in that moment, the kingdom of God was breaking through, “in (Starbucks) as in heaven.”

Made me think of Malachi. “Then those who feared the Lord, spoke with one another, and the Lord listened and heard, and a scroll of remembrance was written… they are mine, my treasured possession.” It’s the ministry of conversation and one that you don’t have to be a preacher to participate in.

“I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure.” Psalm 119:162

It all started with a translation that was accidentally shipped to Laurie. A translation she read on a Sunday morning, to an audible gasp in the room with people remarking “I understood that!” Then it was our Bible studies/discussions where people starting digging deeper and asking questions. Then it was our that left people asking, “I’m going to get my first Bible. Which one should I get?”

That all became an idea: let’s buy a study Bible in that translation Laurie introduced us to and give them away to whoever wants them!

That led to an invitation to give to our “Bible project.” Within 2 weeks $1,200 came in and this is our first shipment! Since then, another $2,000 has come in (!) but we have to wait because we bought everything that had in stock!!

Thank you to everyone who has and is planning to give. Thank you to for this faithful and accessible translation. And thanks to for helping us facilitate delight in the Word!

Alpha is a night of eating and group discussions. We look at some of the big questions about life, the answers that the Christian faith gives to those questions, and then everyone is invited to share their own thoughts in a safe and judgment free space.

You’re invited, no matter your background or beliefs. It’s completely free and there’s no pressure to come back.

Throughout history, it has been in times just like these – when faith was out of fashion and immorality widespread – that God has broken through in powerful ways. Times that seemed hopeless were transformed into periods of great spiritual awakening. So, is revival possible in our time and place, here and now?

We're revisiting the parable of the sower, exploring its deeper meaning in light of our current spiritual climate. The seed represents God's word, and we are all called to be sowers. But are we sowing effectively? The power lies not in our technique or the soil, but in the seed itself. This parable....

Will you have Him - all of Him? 🙌✝️

On Sunday, reminded us that when we invite Jesus into our hearts, He doesn’t come in pieces. We can’t take only the parts of Him we like and ignore the rest.

No, when Christ enters our lives, He comes to take up residence on the throne at the very center. He brings ALL of His power and ALL of His love. Power to heal and transform beyond what we can imagine. Love that surpasses knowledge - a relentless, undeserved, unconditional love.

But we often resist surrendering full control, letting fear or unbelief hold us back from experiencing the incredible fullness of life with Him.

Today, the question is: Will you have Him, ALL of Him? Will you open the door of your heart and let Christ come in and radically rearrange your life for the better?

If your answer is yes, pray this simple prayer: “Jesus, I receive You as You are - King of love and Lord of all. The throne of my life is Yours.”
