This Afternoon we kicked off the Kids Summer Activity’s, with Growing in God!

The kids learned about The Parable of the Sower from Mark 4:1-20 and discovered how God’s Word is like a seed that grows in our hearts when we listen, learn, and follow Him.

As a fun reminder of tonight’s lesson, each child planted their own pot planter to take home. Just like their seeds will need care, water, and sunshine to grow, our faith grows when we spend time with God through prayer, reading His Word, and obeying Him.

We had a wonderful evening filled with learning, laughter, and getting our hands a little dirty!

“But the seed planted on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest.” — Mark 4:20

We can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of our summer together!

Tonight at church, the kids learned about Balaam and the donkey from Numbers 22:21–34.

What an amazing reminder that God can use unexpected things to get our attention. Balaam was so focused on his own path that he couldn’t see the danger ahead—but the donkey could. What looked like an interruption was actually protection.

How many times have we been frustrated by delays, closed doors, or things not going our way, not realizing God may be protecting and redirecting us?

One thing the kids learned tonight: always listen when God is trying to speak. Even a donkey became a messenger when God needed someone to pay attention.

God still warns. God still protects. God still redirects.
The question is—are we listening? ✨

“But the angel of the Lord said to Balaam… ‘I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.’” — Numbers 22:32
